theguru
The final KHSBCA Coaches Poll from 5-17 ranks them as follows: 1. X 2. Beechwood 3. T 4. Tates Creek 5. Rowan Coaches Polls - KHSBCA.ORG I just read in another thread a member claiming Beechwood is the top team in the state. The St. Xavier Tigers look solid all the way around. What do you think? Is the Champion listed in the top five above or will it be another team?

Beechwood is in with Highlands, winners of 4 straight 9th championships, and may not make it out of the 9th. If the choice is one of these 5 or the field, I will take the field. TheDeuce
Beechwood doesn't want to see St. X.
ChickenWyngz
Beechwood doesn't want to see St. X. My bold prediction of the year is that Beechwood doesn't make it out of the 9th to see X. I'd say the poll is pretty accurate though. That top 5 is a tough out anywhere.
Voice of Reason
Beechwood doesn't want to see St. X. Beechwood would LOVE to see St. X!!! That can only happen in the state championship game.
theguru
Beechwood would LOVE to see St. X!!! That can only happen in the state championship game. Which means the game would come down to who is left to pitch and maybe a little luck.

Tigerpride94
Will be a little easier to say after regional tourneys. Region 7,11, and 9 winners will be serious contenders.
redleg13
If McCracken Co. comes out of the 1st (Paducah Tilghman is strong this year) they can give just about anyone a tough battle.
tcjkbt
In the state tournament, is every game an elimination game or is it double elimination? Weren't there best-2-out-3 series in the past?

I'm hoping for a 4th game between Tilghman and McCracken. Tilghman only gave up 5 runs total in the first 3 games against McCracken and still managed to lose all 3. Both of these pitching rotations are very good and with the exception of playing each other, they both generally can put runs on the board. LongTimeReader
I'll go with St. X as the favorite to win. They don't seem to have a "stud" pitcher, but I does feel that have 4 or 5 very consistent pitchers which is huge in a one and done tournament.
