I Can't Get My Storage Unit Unlocked

Bill is paid up to date, I have a basic Wal-Mart $7 Masterlock on it and the key won't work.

Good bolt cutters are usually 2 feet long and pretty heavy. They should cut it right open i am sure the storage unit has them.

Inquiring minds want to know....

Sometimes a pin will stick in the wrong position. It is most common when a padlock is left outside.

Try spraying penetrating oil in it a couple of times and wiggle the key around a bunch. May solve your problem

I know this won't help you get your current one open, but maybe some food for thought going forward...I was always told NOT to put oil or WD-40 into a lock, as it'll only become "glue" for any dirt/dust that floats by, and be likely to gum up the mechanism inside. Was always recommended to use graphite powder instead.

Just go to the front office and tell them they will cut it off in no time.

Got a new lock, bolt cutters, and some kind of spray ( I'm assuming like WD40). Sprayed it first and after a little working the key it popped open. I replaced the rusty lock anyway.
