sportsmaniac
My son text me about it this morning. He didn’t say if the players and staff had a meeting or if they heard it on Twitter. Hate it for all parties.

mooremiller31
The recent success of NKU and the quick turn around at WKU have really hurt EKU. Less then 4 years ago NKU was a D2 school and now are competing to win conference championships. Think of where WKU was less then 2 years ago after the departure of Ray Harper and where they are now. McHale seems like a good guy but good guys don't always have success at the coaching level. Hopefully EKU makes a good hire and gets the program flowing in the right direction. Wish Coach McHale the best of luck wherever he ends up.
Science Friction
I lost respect for EKU's hiring process when they refused to give Steve Bird a serious look for football coach a few years back.
gchs_uk9
I've noticed people seem to be more upset that it was tweeted out than the fact he was fired. That probably tells you all you need to know about the disaster of a hire/tenure McHale was in Richmond.
dognation2
EKU will have to upgrade their facilities. It's was a point of contention with McHale, he knew it was hampering recruiting.

kybred
I think EKU ought to outside the box and hire Allen Felhaus Jr. Great coach, EKU alum, vested in Richmond.
Wireman
Richie Riley took South Alabama because EKU AD didn't want him. We'll see how that works out for them.

I've seen nothing from Lochmuller that makes me think he's the right man for the EKU AD job.
Wireman
I heard from a really good source that Riley wanted the job and was told they don't feel "he's ready"
