Any news on a new Covington Catholic's head coach?

It sounds like there are 6 candidates.

A freshman coach from Moeller(heard good things about this guy).

A JV coach from LaSalle.

Michael Bradley.

Not sure about the other three but it sounds like Coach Faust has passed on this job.

By the way, take this for what it's worth. Hats off to Bob Rowe for keeping things quiet. Well done.

What is the time frame of hiring a new coach?

Add Willie Schlarman to the list of individuals who have turned down the job.

Schumate from Beechwood is supposedly going to interview sometime early this week.

Shumate would be their best choice.

Schlarman at Covcath is the equivalent to Pitino going from UK to UL directly instead of having the NBA stint in the middle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My guess is there are official turndowns and unofficial-never-offered-but-let-it-be-known-they're-not-interested turndowns.

I said on day one that the choices were going to be limited due to pay and pension issues.
