  1. That's kind of awesome. Talk about the excitement and new matchups that could possibly bring.
  2. Several of these stats aren't accurate. Ohio county has the qb listed with 3 td receptions(which are not listed on ohio countys stat page) and 9 kick return td's.
  3. Playing the disrespect card against a machine is not buying their ratings. It's illogical. He stated that they don't know how much these boys have grown or whatever. I pointed out that they do. I am also pointing out that emotion doesn't trump math/ a machine. If he actually disagreed with the ratings that would be one thing. Proposing that the machine doesn't respect them is another.
  4. It appears that you don't understand how the math works. Calpreps says the this years cov cath team would beat last years by a 35-14 score. So, yeah, they do realize.
  5. I'd feel sorry for them if the SW JV hadn't lost a game early before the injuries by 2-3 td's to a team that BG JV beat by 3 td's. Id feel sorry for spin if his name wasn't spin stops but every post he makes is some kind of spin. I'm not an English teacher but that bothers me for some reason. Like Bear3 said, nobody knows the real story of how any frosh or jv squad approaches a game. People don't don't know how BG approaches it and who they play either.
  6. Its been a while since I went but LCA has these amazing grilled bologna sandwiches.
  7. I put in another vote for Tywan Taylor Belitnikoff watch list and 9 catches last week vs Alabama
  8. Interesting contrast in coaching styles. I have a feeling this one will have a re-match in the playoffs.
  9. Here is one point about these laws. Top businesses go out and search for who to hire. They recruit the top kind of people that they want. Everyone knows you build organizations with the best people you can find. In education the opposite is true. The law requires the top people in the organization (super and BOE) to sit on their hands and wait on people to apply and you to trust middle management (site base council) to hire them.
  10. Can Mr.Tamme go around to a few more districts and interfere with their hiring process instead? Maybe he can be available to help Barnhardt out sometime in the future.
  11. Of course you have seen it in other sports. You only have 5 players on the floor in basketball. We aren't talking basketball. It doesn't happen in football, sorry.
  12. Funny how that hasn't actually ever happened when they play in summer 7-7.
  13. I think you are fooling yourself. You have no example. Talk to some coaches who have won rings and ask them what it takes and if they have ever seen an average staff win it in any class in any state in football.
  14. So, I win. There is no actual evidence of an average coaching staff with rings since the late 80s, just a vague feeling you have.
  15. Give me a list of KY state champions with what you consider average coach. I go all the way back to late 80's as far as my ability to evaluate a coach.
  16. Great post except for the bolded part. Nobody has ever won the championship with average coaching. You should know that you're a coach. Talent gets you 7-8 wins. Discipline pushes that to 9. Then when you get leadership, that’s when the magic happens. – Urban Meyer
  17. A. On one hand people do it all the time. There are many schools who jump into a wildcat, a goaline offense, or just simply what Tony Franklin calls a change up offense. Most of these instances the change is cosmetic with formation and personnel still doing things that are familiar. B. On the other hand not many people can pull off 2 different schemes in one game or one season. A lot of this has to do with offensive lines. There are option schemes, zone schemes, gap schemes. An OL only has so much practice time. Same for qbs. There are option qbs, passing qbs, ballhandling misdirection qbs. A team only has so much practice time. C. By definition if a team can practice something and execute it on the field that is their offense. Not 2 offenses.
  18. We have had a thread on here somewhere but I think Bourbon was a 4 seed in 97 when they won.
  19. If Fern Creek and South played Friday I would still take FC. We will learn a bit more about them when they play Desales this week.
  20. South Oldham will also have to platoon and balance their offense out if they want to get to that level and win. I haven't seen them this year so I don't know if they do or not.
