Who Becomes Louisville Powers if Neighborhood Schools Come Back?
i don't think it matters to T or X. i think they do a really good job of game planning and developing players.

Greatest High School Game Ever
PLD vs. Scott Co. '99

2007 Rockcastle County
Yes. Wow! What a talent. I haven't followed Rockcastle to much, but he's got to be at least on of the best ever in MT. Vernon.

Ryle Football Passes the Century Mark
But if you really think of what is considered 6A, aren't those teams usually the ones competing for the title year in and year out on the former 4A level?

2007 Rockcastle County
Isn't this always the story at the rock. I absolutely love it. Small, undersized players who play soooooo hard and want to win. They leave it all on the field. One of my favorite high school players ever is from the rock. Number 24 back in 02. Can't remember his name. He was it.

Ryle Football Passes the Century Mark
I dont think the talent part of this statement is true. Also, I think their are teams that are more talented than a T or X in Jefferson and Fayette Co.'s. Like someone stated earlier, these schools (T and X) play smarter football. Now the elevation comes in when you have the powerhouse schools in a superclass. Example: My years in high school we played in district against Clay Co., N. Laurel, Jessamine Co., Perry Central and smashed them all, convincingly. Now that the districts and pairings have changed, all of the mentioned are consitent district contenders and playoff teams.

Ryle Football Passes the Century Mark
Yes. I said the same thing last year and was blasted for it. It will raise the level of play in the whole state. I think it may even erase the term Dynasty in some time. I think that's what some were afraid of.

Boyle County to get new look next season
There are alot of teams wishing the same thing.

Why is it that you love high school football so much?
Simply because it's High School. All you ever hear about is what your parents, their siblings and friends used to do in high school. Everyone can attend High School, but everyone doens't attend college. The lights, band, crowd, student body, hype from the paper all week, friendly rival, hatred, school districts, part of town, generations, colors, and most of all, PRIDE.

Football Coaches That Care
Coach Mike Meighan (At the D): Make the most of the moment. Be quiet and study. Everything doesn't always go as planned, so have a few alternatives. Slice and Dice! Go Dogs!

Lexington Spring Football
Good post, but you forgot the egos in the coaches also. Some of them act like they are winning state titles and they don't need to do anything different in their programs. Their is alot of talent here, but the egos keep alot of kids either off the turf and in the stands, or in the gym.

Question Regarding 2006 4A Final Results

Who was the strongest player to ever play Kentucky high school football?
Ben Elias, PLD '96

Scheduling?
I think the problem is that some coaches want to play better teams while others don't. Schedules could've remain almost the same with a few alterations. Some coaches just aren't willing to play some schools.

Question Regarding 2006 4A Final Results
Well if you were to go by common opponents, take PLD. If PLD had an offense that was at least average, they'd beat Ryle. Henry Clay crushed PLD. They a really fast.

What Is Your Opinion Of The KHSAA?
A great organization that gives young athletes a chance to succeed.

Male/Trinity 2002 where are they now?
Note to you buddy. Don't remind me of Number 1. I was coaching in that game. The guys he outran on that play were our best players. He left everyone by like 20 yds. Other than Montrell Jones, Antonio Bryant, and another (hint: check the user name), I thought he was the best I've seen even in high school. Thats some on-field speed any D-1 school could've used.
-
Talent or coaching? Or both?
It's not the talent coming in, but the talent devloped while their. That is based on two things: 1. the coaching recieved by the individual. 2. the heart, soul, and work ethic of the individual. The prestige of the program only helps bring it out a lot quicker in a larger amount of kids.

Colerain vs. Hoover (Al.) in Herbstreit Classic
Wow! This is an absolute joke. So you mean to tell me that Hoover wouldn't beat any team in Ohio, let alone the top ten? What are you basing this on? I guess MTV had it all wrong when they did the two-a-days on Hoover. They should've done the whole GCL. Ohio has really good football on the high school level, but you're comparing it to one of the best teams not only in the south, but the whole country. That would be like saying the year Trinity came up there and opened the flood gates on Elder, or whoever it was that was the D-1 state champ that year, the top 5 teams in ky that year were also better.

Name That Field
Yep, that's "The Swamp". Home!

Have we seen the end of the Big Three?
I think this post hits it right on the head. Fantastic!:thumb: Trinity has pulled away, and a certain school that starts with a M has tried to categorize themselves with the likes of T, X, and Male without the achievements. I hear its a great academic school though.
