  1. Only a little. X, last year supposedly had the greatest O-line in school history and VA ran wild against EVERYONE. I think it would be safe to say that they have kind of slacked throughout the seasons end and the playoffs. Maybe its because of the pedistool they have been placed on all season.
  2. I would second that Henry Clay has as much talent as anybody in KY. They are loaded. I think HC has a little edge at the WR position and Minnifield isn't the only shutdown guy in the secondary, Boyd is pretty good too. Minnifield is, and I said is, the best player in KY. He kicks and plays QB, that why I give him the edge over Beaumont and Tandy.
  3. Since you highlighted it and then for some reason chose to say something about Anderson being hurt, X has NUMBERS. They didn't have Deuce in the line-up that much if any either. Some even say he's better. I think the picture of what I was saying is clear to everyone but you. Regardless of who gets hurt, you still have to coach and play D. And besides, Glaser didn't say they lost because Curley got hurt. Did he injure himself, or did a Trinity player get better from the first meeting, beat his man, and hit him. could that have happened. He said it was because of the unfortunate loss of a family member affecting his focus. Question: Why do you say different?
  4. GRC has talented starters, but none like HC. This one will be a suprise only to GRC fans when they see the scoreboard at the end of the game. The two met in the preseason and GRC had a few good runs, but could basically do nothing with HC. GRC may have gotten better since then, but HC is supernova right now. The comment the HC player made in the paper was probably true. Like last year vs. Trinity, they will only beat themselves.
  5. I wouldn't say that Male is better than Trinity or Henry Clay. Beaumont is grrrrreat, but I really don't know about the rest of the team versus T's depth. Henry Clay is extremely fast, and not just Minnifield. I think when you talk about this side of the bracket, HC, T, and H all have a chance at going all the way. The odd man out by a landslide is Clark Co.. They wear red, but they aint Rutgers.
  6. Right NCC will win at Raceland, not at LCA. By the way, didn't LCA beat Raceland at Raceland only to lose to them at home? Again, good job coach rains, that region championship is very elusive. Are you also going to tell me that the best school Hayden could've gotten into was Western? He's excellent at getting kids into college too, right? P.S. Hopefully Raceland will make it a close regional championship game. Closer than last year between the two regions.
  7. Danville vs. NCC Danville Mercer Co. vs. Russell Mercer Co. Bowling Green vs. Lexington Catholic LexCath Ryle vs. Henry Clay Henry Clay
  8. Trust me, they'll need alot more than bulliten board material. Maybe it won't be as bad since they're not playing on the turf. Better cut on the sprinklers, it somewhat slowed them at Woodford Co..
  9. Don't you think that T had something to do with the QB getting knocked out. X has numbers and runs the ball what 90% of the time. Not saying that X isn't a good team, but lately they have slacked of a little as the season goes. Who got hurt this year?
  10. Franklin choked any way you want to look at it. Don't worry, the Bengals saw it as a chance to choke one up too.
  11. Had to take a little break, but back in the saddle. Not trying to sell the kids short at X, but if you take three of the last 4 years, X has gotten weaker as the season goes on. The year they won the title is an exception. Last year, they blasted the rocks. I was talking to my lil' cousin and I told him after that game, T would be state champs. Then the 40 point turnaround happened in the pizza box. This year, the same thing with Male. 1 point loss 1st game, then 26 point loss what two weeks later. Something aint right.
  12. Research, are you kidding. This is Paul Rains we are talking about. Do you really think he quit at MC to come to LCA? That would be like Dale Mueller quiting HHS to coach at Pendelton. Did you think he was so masterful when he got destroyed on TV this year and last year. Or how about when he failed to get one of the top 50 players in ky the ball at all last year. Or the fact that maybe, just maybe he had alot more speed and leadership last year to run the offense he's running now. Rains takes the credit, but if you did your research, you would know that its not him. There's probably a coach on his staff that took a 4A school to the state finals a few years ago. And really, do you, or anyone else think that NCC was so good last year as to beat the breaks off that LCA team by that much? Note: now do your research. like i said before, check those days at MCHS, in Richmond. By the way, Henderson will be in UK's reciever rotation last year, but somehow wasn't good enough to get the ball in his Sr. season under Rains. Research well done.
  13. Sam and company, charged with 1st Degree Murder. Devils Roll!
  14. Beechwood also beat NCC last year so what is your point really. The NCC program is on point this year and unlike the Beechwood team the loaded LCA team that shoulda at least played for a state title last year beat, they return 4 out of 5 starters on the o-line and on of the best backs in NKY. 2 factors for your answer. 1. NCC gets better as the year goes on. they proved it last year, and so far this year. 2. This years Raceland team is not even close to being as good, or as talented as the team your beloved eagles fielded last year. In my opinion, the problem at LCA is coaching (check Madison Cenrtal when he was there), and the problem at Raceland is finding the talent to compete year in and year out. Now if you switched the staffs at the schools, LCA would be a monster, or at least last year would've been class A runner-up.
  15. If its because of the surface, they might as well play at Marshall. If you move it to Papa, it'll just be another Trinity home game because 1. They always seem to play at papa this time of year anyways, 2. The fans, best in the K, and maybe the whole country. These fans are rowdy and relentless. And they'll follow their Rocks off a cliff.
  16. Not putting down the coach at Raceland, but do you really think that the Raceland staff is even close to the one at NCC? I would be very suprised if Racelnad wins this one. The escape last week shouldn't be one that makes Raceland fans feel comfortable. LCA is very young and talented, but NCC is from NKY. Different players and way better coaching. LCA did well with what they have, but many of the fans on Reynolds felt like last years team was wasted.
  17. Two words: Hello Scoreboard. Beating a LCA team that is full of mostly freshman and sophomores and a coach who saw the region championship game last year for the first time in forever is not the same thing. This is NCC, the defending state champs. Not the same.
  18. The answer to the question is 100% NO. T is a state power year after year, and I really like the way they play football. Male is also a state power year after year, and we played a similar style football when I was in high school. But we are forgeting something are we. There's a team about 1hr east thats resides on Fontaine Rd. that is making alot of noise again this year after many considered it to be a rebuilding year. Henry Clay is becoming a huge power. They are getting closer to were they want to be on a yearly basis. This team is the real deal and Sam is a motivator. Congrats to the rocks for beating them last year and winning state like I expected, but this years HC team is alot faster and more explosive than the one that stomped on the T. They are ready.
  19. Is Male really that good (to beat X by 26), or is it just another season where X gets weaker as the year goes on?
  20. Two Words will greatly explain Dunbar's horrible season. Are you ready? Here it goes! PLAY CALLING.
  21. That was a MC fan poll after beating PLD for the first time in like 4 or 5 tries. I knew they definately were not even close to Henry Clay. Creek is also apparently better. That 1 win over Dunbar had MC fans thinking that they were on the boat with X, T, Male, Highlands, etc. Rude awakening
  22. That's funny. I see someone else agrees with Manual changing their offense. I said that before the season started and it ruffled alot of people's feathers.
  23. Henry Clay IS a top 3 team not only in 4A, but the whole state. Boyle is not down, HC is really good, extremely fast, and FULLY LOADED. Watch out for this team on the carpet if everyone stays healthy.
  24. I think there is a really big mistake being made here. MC has talent, no doubt, but to all of a sudden after beating PLD in 1 out of the last 5 and start calling them a perrenial power in outrageous. They just happened to be clicking at the right time with the right amount of upperclassmen. And to say that they're even close to Henry Clay is a total joke (ask Boyle fans). I think that They have enough to make it to region, but that's it unless Scott Co. and Henry Clay players start dropping like flies. Top 5, No. Top 10, ?. Top 15, YES.
