free thinker Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Boyle football is far removed from the glory years. I don't think they'll ever win another title unless Smith comes back. Payback time for a lot of teams for some of the antics in years past.
Admiral Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Keep your heads up Rebels, You guys will be fine. And I know you guys will be ready to battle us.
nWo Posted August 27, 2006 Author Posted August 27, 2006 Coach Simpson looks different with the mustache!
free thinker Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Keep your heads up Rebels, You guys will be fine. And I know you guys will be ready to battle us. You just want them to keep the spirit until you put 50 on them?
Admiral Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 You just want them to keep the spirit until you put 50 on them? Naw, You would have to be an Admiral or Rebel to really understand.
free thinker Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 I know Danville took some serious whippins from Boyle in the last 6-7 years. Pay em back.
MountainThunder Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Unlike many crosstown/county rivals, these schools actually respect each other and cheer for each other when they aren't playing against the other. I have a ton of respect for both programs. Henry Clay is making a statement, ... they are loaded again.
2KR11 Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Henry Clay was really impressive tonight. I was disappointed that they didnt go for an onside kick on their last score. Need the pratice you know.
pldgreatno2 Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Henry Clay IS a top 3 team not only in 4A, but the whole state. Boyle is not down, HC is really good, extremely fast, and FULLY LOADED. Watch out for this team on the carpet if everyone stays healthy.

MOUNTAINFOOTBALL Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Henry Clay did look VERY good tonight...I say they are a legit top 5 team in the state. Good luck to the Devils, I would like to see them make a deep run in the 4A playoffs. Boyle will bounce back and have a good season...they are a great program that will continue to produce good teams and players.

thepeopleschamp Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 I think Henry Clay is a very good team, however Boyle Co., is down in comparison to past teams. There probably are not 4 or 5 Div-1 or 1-AA players on this team. Also Boyle used to have some guys that would really knock peoples heads off, Matt Quinn comes immediately to mind. This Boyle team is very solid and I am not knocking them in the least, but when you lose the man who built this team into a state power, plus you no longer have the Leffew bro's Jacob Tamme, Jeff Duggins, Brodie Overstreet, Brandon Smith, Matt Quinn, etc....it is only natural to fall a little bit. However if Boyle can rebound and refocus after this loss, there is no reason they can't compete for a title this year.
