Pendleton County vs. Hopkinsville
Thanks for a conformation on the score. Just a little sarcasm on the comment.

Pikeville vs. Henry Clay
Good Point. The game will mean nothing

My 3-A Pre-Season Top 10
1. Highlands 2. Rockcastle 3. BG 4. CovCath 5. Hopkinsville 6. Boyle 7. Franklin Co. 8. LexCath 9. Pulaski SW 10. Lou. Central

Franklin County vs. Somerset
Yes they do, but not as tough as facing LexCath during the regular season, then second round in the playoffs facing a CovCath or Highlands team. Deaton and Hall may be good, but having even a question mark in the secondary against this FC team gets you a front row seat for a long night. He's fast too.

Franklin County vs. Somerset
Yeah, but Somerset hasn't played FC's schedule and doesn't have anyone even remotely close at QB to Ammons.

Bowling Green vs. St. Xavier
They also barely excaped the Hardin team. My post wasn't downing X because like T, they're a great team. I was saying that their O does or has slowed down a bit as the season goes on. Maybe it is the Gauntlet district that is the cause. X will probably always have one of the state's top Defensive units, but the offense, especially without that O-line they had last year and the QB, may suffer this year. This will be the year where they suffer early because of their harsh schedule, but get better and stronger late.

My 1-A Pre-Season Top 10
Maybe they'll prove me wrong, but I don't see LCA being that strong of a team this year. Maybe it was based on last year.

Bowling Green vs. St. Xavier
I think it would be better to play X later on in the season verses the begining. I don't think they would have beaten LexCath in late Sept. or after (30 something point turn -around between the two games, unbeliveable). The Trinity games are also another example of what I'm talking about. They seem to stay on the same level on D, but the O loses it's mojo.

Countdown to Kickoff 2006
40 days until "How bout them BUUULLLDOOOGGGSS!" Go Dogs! PLD

Pendleton County vs. Hopkinsville
This will benefit both teams. Hoptown can now be looked at as absolute monsters who chop up, chew, and spit out their opponents. Pendelton can reclaim their spunk as a basketball only school because their football team will no longer exist. Who did this and why? It could be an upset though. Didn't PC beat someone like 97-0 a few years ago?

Who else do you root for?
hey. gotta have an UNDERDOG in their sommewhere.

Pikeville vs. Henry Clay
Pikeville is going to get absolutely pasted. Someone, please tell me this isn't a home game for Pikeville. I see Minnefield not playing in the second half. HC's Defense may be one of the fastest in the state. They have guys that can switch around. They moved Minnefield to safety probably so they can Blitz. That team freshmen year was great.

Belfry vs. Newport Central Catholic
The loss of Diehl and playing against a ball control team like Belfry may cause NCC some trouble. I see them losing in a close one.
-
Franklin County vs. Somerset
Somerset loses big in this one. Franklin will be a load for anyone this year. Not saying they will win state, but I doubt they'll get blasted like last year by anyone.

Bowling Green vs. St. Xavier
My pick : Bowling Green by 4pts

Rockcastle County vs. Corbin....Week 1
I would have to agree with you. With RC having that o-line returning, it's gonna be a long night trying to stop the run for the hounds.

Who else do you root for?
Class A: Evangel Christian, NCC Class AA: No One Class AAA: LexCath, Rockcastle, Boyle, Highlands Class AAAA: Dunbar (of course), Trinity, Male, Lexington. Aw heck, 4A is just great. I love it.

As good or great as he's coached or prepared to be. Hard work and dedication.

Post your Teams Schedule for 2006!!
I think it has something to do with it, along with KY recent success in the all-star game. We, PLD, had a two year deal with a team from Fla a few years ago. It's good for the state as a whole, win or lose.

Will the players transfering from Scott be eligible?
Just because you said that, I hope they don't let them play next season. Funnel cakes are great and you then would have to give me one, jk! Pretty sure it'll be okay. Nothing against SK, but they're not a powerhouse football program and the rule seems only to affect such programs that are year in and year out title contenders.

Can the very talented Michael Vicars (NCC) hit 1,700 yards in 2006?
This thread is okay for this season, but since the thread is about '07, watch out. jk! It does take some kids attention, but don't think it will hold water with this one. Good kid/ football player with a great attitude. The real issue will be about the guy taking the shotgun snaps handing him the ball. I was really immpressed at the way the NCC kids conducted themselves during the region game last year. Thought LCA was a better team, as did most of the people who knew about their talent, but NCC was just simply WAY more prepared for not only that game, but a run at the title.
