Billy Jackson Bethlehem how good is he?

Featured Replies

He won the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles at the Class A state track meet this month.

I would look at who they are playing to get a better gauge. He has very good numbers, but who are his yards/tds against?

He did average 11.14 yards per carry and actually scored 19 total TD's; 14 rushing TD's, 3 TD's receiving and 2 other (KOR/PR/INT-R).

Sounds like he probably broke several long ones for TD's. If not, at over 11 ypc, he should be getting many more carries than he did in 2005. He only averaged 11 carries per game, and if I were a coach, I would want him to get around 15-20 per game if he is small, from 20-30 if he has some meat on his bones.

I can't fault the kid for putting up numbers against the teams he has to face.

I agree. But looking at his numbers, I would guess he is a small but very speedy back. Averaging over 11 ypc, he should get the ball more IMHO.

He is 6-0 195.

That's the info I have.

That is pretty good size. I definitely would get the ball in his hands more often. :thumb:

I cover this guy for our local radio station. He is physically imposing in person and a dynamite young man. He is a legitimate Division I prospect, particularly at defensive back, where he is a big hitter. He has explosive speed, great leaping ability, very good strength, and football intangibles. I understand the knock about the schedule, but he was awesome against Holy Cross and against Danville in the playoffs, and he ran behind a very small line, so he makes a lot of his own yards.

I have heard several D-3 schools in Ohio along with one or two schools of the same size from Indiana sent him questionnaires. I also think Dayon University might have sent him something but can not confirm that.
