LCA probably needs to fold with Rains. He really wasted last years talent, and the new offense he's trying to install doesn't fit his coaching style either. In order to become a passing team, you'll need SPEED, and a kid who can wing it. They'll have to put more emphasis into their athletic programs to get over the hump. Rains has somewhat tarnished his image by comments made about former players. He should've been better than that because word has spread and the parents of some kids here in lexington have reconsidered sending their kids to LCA and instead considered Catholic. People also watch games, and last year, he had a WR that was in the state's preseason top 50 and didn't try and get him at least 10 touches a game. Tyrell was great, but he would've been even better if the ball was spread around to some of those good skilled players that helped LCA's turnaround before Hayden's arrival. I bet you can understand that one real well Bluto.

Yeah, they'll be better. Wait until greene comes back and they figure out what to do with No. 3. The QB thing didn't work, but if they insert him into the WR position, the offense will become explosive. The Dogs have speed and talent, but right now are not being trusted because of their youth (most are soph). They are a very dangerous team because they haven't broke out yet.

I totally agree. They had their warnings about this team before the season started. Now it's time to see a sleeping giant wake up. Their also a very young team. They have one of the best coaching staffs ever.

I said it. It's gonna be a long season for the eagles. The talent honeymoon is over. They should've ran the offense they are trying to run this year with last years team. Road game against a No. 1 seed at best.

They're only going to get better. This will boost the confidence of the school as a whole. Think their will be more than a few.

Dunbar played an outstanding game on defense. Their offense looked extremely conservative. I think in a couple of weeks, if everyone can get healthy, they will be a force in 4A statewide. They have speed, size, and a great D, but sometimes in last night's game the defensive ends lacked discipline on key plays. They had their chances to beat MBA, but they didn't. Don't think they really trust the forward pass much with Haney, but the kid throws a really nice ball. The DOGS will be a better team than last year.

No, but I'd say they're probably still playing. Both run the ball all the time. If Boone's secondary is good, I'd say they won by a fieldgoal.

Great schedule for Dixie. They will soon be the richest football team in Ky, or at least one of them. Way to cut the travel cost. 10 games, 3 counties, and all of which are extremely local. Heck some are just of Dixie Highway.

I agree. Also, I would include Kid Rock(Bawitaba), C-Murder(F--- them other N---- cause I'm down wit my N----) and by myself Snoop Dogg(Ghetto Symphany). Ghetto Symphany got me ready to run routes and score TD's.

TC as in Tates Creek. Those are some of the ugliest uni's ever. Try the PLD uni's from 98-present. I like Trinity's uni's also, but I'd rather be in all black and on Man O' War Blvd. like the old playing days.

It might take some spunk out of the playoff race, but it will give teams more out of district games to schedule. That means that more teams can play out-of-state opponents, which will be great for exposure. Also, the more teams playing in playoff games will increase the number of prospects. A losing season can be and will be at some point in the future turned into a miracle. The upset bug will be all over the place. Some of the smaller schools without programs may plan on or start to plan on fielding football teams like Sayre, etc..

GRC has the talent to be absolutely explosive. They have a few kinks on the O-line to figure out and some secondary issues, but as a team, those guys are good. HC needs to decide what kind of team they are. No.2 was more efficient running the option, while No.15 kept the GRC defenders wondering if he was going to hand it off, keep, or throw. He has some decision issues, but a little coaching can help with that. HC has speed at reciever, but the had a sub-par day as about three WIDE OPEN TD passes that were on the money made their way through hands and onto the turf. GRC should probably run alot more option. They have speed, but if things don't change, they'll be another team down in history with speed restricted by the reins of the wing-t.

This doesn't suprise me at all. PLD is very young as I stated before, but very talented. By mid-season, their true colors will show. Starting seven soph. can be a challenge for anyone matched up against PSW these days. PLD, for the time being, is very young and very raw varsity-wise. Take nothing from SW, they have a good and progressing program. Not to forget the tremendous coaching staff they have down their too. In previous playoff games, SW has given PLD outstanding challenges, only to come up short. Congrads to both teams. SW got a little BGP cred. while PLD got a chance to not only test their youth against a very good team, but find their kinks and tune-up before opening kick-off. It's too early to knock-em. Mark that down.

Absolutely great post! I think a negative of spliting into six classes would be the dissolving of what many consider the big rival games. Some rivals that were district deciding games might not have to play because of district schedules. Some may keep the games as out of dist. play for a while, but may recieve unrefusable offers from other teams such as bowl games etc.

Tates Creek may be a suprise regional contender this year. They return all starters on their offensive line and traditionally when that has happened, they have been very tough to deal with for 4 quarters. They will be bigger stronger and faster and will be out with something to prove in a major way. GRC might wanna look at them as more of a quality opponent than they faced a year ago.

LexCath would not have as much success as many people may think if they were in the Lexington District. It too is a bit of a Gauntlet. Bob is gone and they will still be good, but the offense won't produce as much as they did under Sphire. They may even change the offense a little to suit the run/ play action a little more since they return Caldwell and the best rarely mentioned RB in KY in Isreal. Seeing a diff. offense every single week would be tough.

This too should be a burner. PSW is not a team, it's become a program. Playoff success will come soon, especially since Smith left Boyle. From what I've seen, their weakness has been in the secondary. If PSW could drastically improve that aspect, they could easily make it to "The Big One".

High school state titles or a winning recors and sending kids to college to play football?

In Henry Clay's defense about last season's run, it too was their first year running the newly installed offense. Secondly, I don't think, that when this game is finally over, that Pikeville fans will feel like they've scheduled a better opponent before. The fact that Henry Clay moved their best playmaker in years to safety and he will probably be the fastest player on their schedule, this year and last year's, they may get some good out of this matchup pending their kids keep their heads up. P.S.- The previous two matchups have absolutely nothing to do with this one. Plus Henry Clay has more room to practice now and a home field. Last season they had much success and played on the road up until the playoffs.

Trinity runs the spread offense, a version of it. But it won't help HC because of the calibur of team that everyone says Pikeville is.
