theguru
Today the BOC voted for six equal classes with the ability for teams to play up. From what I understand it won't be set in stone for a couple of months but it is a sure thing.
theguru
For the record, I think it is great for KY football. I would prefer super classes at the top and bottom but I realize sometimes you need to take things one step at a time. I never used to be for more classes but since there is such a great disparity in enrollment I changed my stance on this issue. I believe this is a good move and the KHSAA hit the nail on the head. All Tell
Speculation time: Who will accept the challange and play up? I would love to see Highlands, LexCath and CovCath in the same classification as Trinity and X. LexCath if for no other reason then they would likely be in the same district as other Lexington schools;)
super
I also think this is a good move, will help get more teams in the playoffs with that there should be more excitement among the players across the State.

pldgreatno2
LexCath would not have as much success as many people may think if they were in the Lexington District. It too is a bit of a Gauntlet. Bob is gone and they will still be good, but the offense won't produce as much as they did under Sphire. They may even change the offense a little to suit the run/ play action a little more since they return Caldwell and the best rarely mentioned RB in KY in Isreal. Seeing a diff. offense every single week would be tough.
