Who is going to "play up" to 6A, Birdsfan?

Only a fool... or a team that is ultra loaded like the GRC team that won it all or maybe and I stress maybe Highlands with Lorenzen and Smith.

Bottom line, no one is going to move up to 6A west and I think we will see few if any teams move up at all.

That was in 1991...and I agree don't see anyone playing up to 6A.

At first I had my hesitations with this idea, but I have since changed my mind. 2A will be loaded with the likes of Bardstown, Corbin, Danville, Fort Campbell, Fort Knox, Glascow, Lexington Christian, Middlesboro, Newport Catholic, Pikeville, Owesboro Catholic, and of course Somerset. Sorry guys I know there are others that deserve to be in this list. Just imagine Somerset, Corbin, and Middlesboro being in the same district again, wow it gives me chills- what great rivalries we had with Corbin and Middlesboro in the past.

2A would be very strong, and I always enjoyed the Somerset, Middlesboro and Corbin wars. If the super classes thing passes, Corbin moves up, as do we at Lynn Camp, which would put us in the district with Somerset and Middlesboro. I don't like the super classes for the reason you like the even six classes. The even 6 classes would mean we would get to keep our traditional rivalries like Williamsburg, Pineville and Harlan. If we have to move up to 2A, all that would be left for us from the district set up now, would be Somerset and Evarts, and of course Evarts is closing its doors in a couple of years.

Unless I'm mistaken Corbin would probably fall into 3A due to the number of boys in the incoming freshman and sophomore classes. It would be great to be in a district with Somerset and Middlesboro, but I expect the Hounds to be in much the same district as they are in now.

More for those not willing to click......

NKY teams and where they would fall.

Class 5A

636 Dixie Heights

611 Scott

550 Grant County

503 Holmes

Class 4A

464 Covington Catholic

430 Pendleton County

423 Highlands

CCH is now upto 500 boys.

Highlands District? In this 6 class setup we will loose Grant Co, South Oldham, Madison Central. Pendelton Co isn't in any district yet. I want to see the district breakdown. I think it is very expensive for schools that have to travel alot to play in their districts. Our district is down to 5 teams now.

After the change, you'll pobably have 4 or 5 teams in a district, freeing up more non district games, meaning less potential travel. No team in NKY should be worried about travel. in a four or five team district you would only possibly have two away games and two home games. What you do with the other 6 games would be up to you.

CCH is now upto 500 boys.

I don't know where the KHSAA gets the numbers, I just use them. I am sure that some schools have more, and some have less. I would like it if CCH was up with Dixie. But I'm sure alot of things will change in the next two years as far as enrollments go. I would deffinetly look for HHS to lobby to move up if CCH's enrollment puts them up a class.

Im just really curious,,,if these classes are evenly divided,,,WHERE is Letcher Central??? Letcher Central isnt mentioned in either class

Either A I over looked them, or B they weren't on the report. Like I said, I'm sure it's not perfect. I would suggest you take the time to do a list yourself so we get one that's perfect.

Exactly my point ...

32, whom was saying that they wanted to move up to play in X or T's class? I don't ever recall seeing that on here or did you hear it outside BGP (as if there is an outside world).
