True.. while they will be one of the 4 remaining at year's end, #2 might be a little too generous.

I'm saying the quote of "NewCath, Danville, and Beechwood are the Big 3" is usually the tune heard every year. Mayfield hasn't been as consistently in it the past few years.

Mayfield has always been mentioned as the cream of the class a crop every year since dropping down. They have more titles than Newport Catholic so I'm not sure where your arguement is coming from. When you mention top teams in Class a, there are four teams ALWAYS mentioned. Not just three as you think.

Mayfield fans said the same thing last year (I looked it up!)

 

All 4 of the "big 4" need to be included--just like every other year.

 

And to be honest--NCC is the team that has only "recently" joined the big 3. (Sorry mak--but the truth is the truth--Mayfield earned their spot a log time ago).

The top ten looks reasonable. Losing as many seniors as Somerset did last year, i see starting out at # 9 a little low but reasonable considering what some of these other teams bring to the table as far as returning players.

Maybe they'll prove me wrong, but I don't see LCA being that strong of a team this year. Maybe it was based on last year.

If it was based on last year, Somerset would be better than number 9!
