I heard these few parents in the stands acting like complete fools!!!!! Our job as true Somerset fans is to support this team with a win or a loss. Ok, we had a tough loss tonight but I'm here to say again, players and coaches..I support you and keep your heads up and get ready for Mondays practice. I made a point to go tell Coach Lucas that we all get knocked down but the real challenge is how we rise up and fight back! Go Jumpers!

I say it's a safe bet that a MRI will be conducted very quickly.

Harris went out with a right knee injury at the end if the 2nd quarter. He did not play another snap. He had ice on it in the 3rd quarter and was on crutches at the end if the game.

Somerset will be down some and will be young at most positions. However, the incoming freshman class is as talented as the graduating seniors were their freshman year and much deeper. Expect to see 25-28 freshman next year. Coach Lucas will field a competitive team and may surprise a team or two next year. In two years the Jumpers will be back on top.

Any word yet if any pep buses will be going. I had a few people relate to me Friday night that they would love to go but don't have transportation.

Either go to the harbor at Lee's Ford Marina off of W. Ky 80 (about 6 miles west of Somerset) or go to Burnside (about 2 miles south of Somerset on US 27). Burnside has Sully's, Mexican x 2, and the End Zone Pizzan and Pub.

You guys will first come to field just off of Ky 80 on your left (can't miss it). Keep going west on Ky 80 for about 2 miles until you come to US 27. Most of our restaurants are south of the intersection. Cracker Barrell, Golden Corrall, Ruby Tuesday, Peking (chinese), King Buffett (chinese) in the Wal-Mart shopping center, Casa Grande (mexican) on right behind Little Ceasars pizza, Bob Evans, Fazzolis, Sonny's BBQ, Culvers, etc. I can promise you that you won't have any problem finding a place to eat in Somerset. If you want food, gas or a used car, Somerset is the place. :thumb:

Is there parking and do they have Turf, if so is the field fast or do they need Turf shoes or metal cleats. Heard it was old style of Turf and metal cleats were no good.

Where is Jericho now.

I would anticipate that each year more and more teams will be involved in the state association. I kind of refer to this like the All "A" Classic, each year it will only get bigger and better.

Congratulations to the Meece Middle football team. Played a great game against 14-1 Morgan County yesterday winning 42-6. The future of Somerset football is very bright for the next four years. Also would like to thank Coach Messamore, Barber, Price, Stigall and Sandusky for everything that you gentleman have meant to my son and the Somerset program.

This could effect Somerset in the 1st round. My understanding is that Magoffin County will/would have been there 1st round game.

Great game to watch! Southwestern showed some toughness tonight!

Congrats on the win. Seems that the ship is straightening out finally since the injuries has improved. Glad for Wheeldon, didn't know that he was a RB.

Congratulations to MC! Although most predicted this win I will have to admit that I did not. MC seems to be moving in the right direction. Still wish MC would clash with my Jumpers sometime.

Thanks for the props but there is still alot of football to be played. I agree that Somerset should be favored the rest of the regular season without any major letdowns.

Heard today that Chris Muse is done for the year with an ACL tear and that Alex Abner is still suffering symptons from his concussion on friday night.

Southwestern 31 Harlan County 21 Southwestern will carry over the win against Warren Central to the Ray Correll Bowl. Still not sure on Southwestern offense but the "D" will bring it. The defense is the difference in this game, should set the offense up enough to put some points on the board.

Imo Somerset has the best overall team speed in the last several years and finally have a solid group of players that will hit you on defense.
