So who would step in and coach the jumpers this year? I would like to see Max Messomore step up and guide the jumpers this year, he has coached all them boys in the past and has done a darn good job.:ylsuper:

It will be hard on the Briar Jumpers this season.

I don't think so. As long as the have some good assistants and promote with in I believe they will be just fine. Frankfort had their head coach leave on the first day of school 7 years ago. That year they finished 11-2. Foley was promoted to head coach and he was able to rally the kids. So I wish the same for the Briar Jumpers.

Wow!

I had forgotten about him quitting and returning really quick 2 years ago. Any chance that he took another job this close to the season starting?

I don't really want to discuss the situation any further but it has nothing to do with taking another job.

Thanks for the follow up. I really do hope this is nothing serious, just a decision to try something new. Lynn Camp had some great battles with Cobb. Here is to the best for both Cobb and Somerset!:thumb:

I hope it is nothing related to Health. I know back in the spring there some rumblings that Jay was not happy with the support he was getting?

Cobb's pulled this stunt several times... I'm sure he will get what he wants from the administration and be back on the side lines for the first game...
