What does Somerset need to do to improve in 2014? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

I personally know less about this coming years team than any team in the last decade at Somerset.

 

Wanted to get this rolling to see what was going on over at Williams Fieldhouse and what the team was looking like next season.

 

Rumors of transfers out at the end of last season kinda wondering if any have left the team.

Better question is who's coaching? OC left and another asst went to caverna to be the head coach.

Coach Lucas was HC/OC for a few years already and DC is back. They are missing some assts not sure who is taking those spots.

Somerset will be down unlike years past.. They lost several playmakers and solid seniors off last years team. But they do have a couple players to watch out for an keep an eye on... Castle Hatcher, Jordan Doan, Chandler Dobbs and Brycen McWilliams.. But I think somersets big aspect this year is they should have decent Offensive and Defensive lines.

Doan is no longer at Somerset. He will be at Southwestern.

I expect the Jumpers to take a sizable step back.

 

They lost a ton of veteran experience and playmakers on both sides of the ball. Losing Doan is a big blow as the kid had a ton of talent. Will be a tough row to hoe in such a quality district.

That's just a Basketball Rule! Football is just 2 out of 3!

Somerset in my opinion is still a top 10 team for next year even if they have lost all that talent.. But these kids a few years ago won a middles school state title didn't they??

Somerset will be down some and will be young at most positions. However, the incoming freshman class is as talented as the graduating seniors were their freshman year and much deeper. Expect to see 25-28 freshman next year. Coach Lucas will field a competitive team and may surprise a team or two next year. In two years the Jumpers will be back on top.
