When is the last time a team from Raceland's district won the region?

I'll go with NCC!

NCC will be the favorite since they are the defending state champs. That being said, I feel like this will be a very good game. If Raceland can keep it close then they have a great shot at winning. Slowing down Vicars is the key!

I think there is something special going go on by US 23. Not sure what it is yet. Could be a run to the Pizza Box or could be some biscuits burning at Super Quick. We will know come Friday.

Hard to believe there will be two Regional play-off games going on 5 minutes from each other. The Flatwoods/Raceland/Russell/Worthington area will be deserted on Friday night as everyone flocks to the Hank and Ram Stadium.

I've got to stick with my Ram's. This should be a really good game. The Ram's are playing a really balanced game right now and are getting better each week.

I'd like to welcome the NCC crowd to Ram Stadium. They have always been great to us on our visits to NKY. And we've been there a few times. LOL

:thumb: I agree, it has the making's to be a dandy!! The scariest thing about this Rams "TEAM" is that they have not put together a complete game. When the total package is in place some special things may be taking place in Big Orange country. This is a great group of kids to watch and they work their tails off to be successful. "Band Of Brothers".:thumb:

That is a valid point. Sounds like neither team has yet to put it all together in a complete game yet this year. So I guess the chances of both teams doing it this week aren't great.

Unique situation here. Which team can gear up for this one after taking the District championship on a rivals field? How much will home field advantage help Raceland? Can Raceland match NCC's size and speed up front? Can Raceland get more turnovers against an NCC team that had a tendency to turn it over earlier in the year and has really focused on not putting the ball at risk?

Good questions there. Since we're almost 3 hours apart you can't really get a feel for how these 2 teams will match up. All your questions can be answered by saying that so far all the above have been taken care so far this year. We'll see how the match up goes Friday night.

Two words: Hello Scoreboard. Beating a LCA team that is full of mostly freshman and sophomores and a coach who saw the region championship game last year for the first time in forever is not the same thing. This is NCC, the defending state champs. Not the same.

Both teams are coming off big wins to say the least. A person can't really go on NCC's W-L record bc of their schedule, EVERYONE is good in NKY, they have some great h.s. football. Raceland will have to be ready and more focused than they have been all season to pull out a win in this one. Raceland's team this season is just that......A TEAM. Someone always steps up and gets it done. The Rams are playing very unselfish this year and this MUST continue and I think that it will. Raceland knows all too well what NCC will be bringing to Ram Stadium. NCC will definately be the favorite. Imo this will be the toughest team/ game that we have had all season. May both teams get through this injury free.

I don't think that anyone was saying that it was the same. NCC will be Raceland's toughest opponet so far this season.

That is true...

But didn't NCC lose most of their starters from last years team?

Just like LCA- LCA does have talented group of Freshmen. They should be doing really well for the next three years.

I will say NCC is VERY WELL COACHED. Raceland has good coaches, so the coaches as well are going to have to be on their game!

I don't know how good NCC is this year, last year they were awesome, no one came close to them in the playoffs.

GOOD LUCK RACELAND- the Orange in the district is behind you!

They may be three hours apart, but they face each other almost every year in the playoffs. Both coaching staffs, I'm sure, are familiar with the other. Big game for both programs. Raceland can break the NKY regional curse, and NewCath can move one step forward to a repeat, which seven weeks ago seemed improbable. I'll go with NewCath 31-17.

Who is hosting this game?
