  1. If the Mods could have a sticky thread that has the Panda Shooting Schedule, I could join you!
  2. A couple of more Dixon pulled this pass down in the first half. SK's press kept the inside game in the second more in check. Owings turned an ankle but returned to the floor later. Some thought the game was exciting; while others close to the action did not? Again, Stephenson was huge down the stretch; her fifth foul was tough.
  3. I thought SK had it wrapped up in the first OT but the charity stripe wasn't kind. Great game. Walton led from start until Stephenson tied the game with less than20 seconds. Walton did a great job of getting ball inside in the first half but didn't do as good of a job in the second half as SK's defense made it tough for WV to run their half court offense. SK shooting was dismal; not sure about for the game but they were like 1 for 10 from the three in the first. The SK press kept them in the game and got them the OT lead. Congrats and good luck to both teams. Great show and great effort. Lots of 8th region coaches in the stands to take this one in. WV had a great crowd at SK. Dixon strong for 2. Stephenson fouling out was a blow to SK as she led them to OT and helped SK take a lead. Tying bucket here. Scrappy game by both teams. Slavey fouled at the 1st OT buzzer made two foul shots to get to the second OT. Wow, tough shots to make.
  4. This is an interesting thread....I wasn't at the game but WV won by 20+ and there are posts indicating Coach doesn't know what he is doing, post congratulating coach for playing someone for more minutes at the point that folks on BGP have been asking for all year and the comment is that a player barely played and WV needs her shooting.
  5. Seems like she started playing varsity in the 6th grade. Congrats and good luck.
  6. Shot of Chambers against Holmes Friday night. He always seems to get on a nice run come tourney time.
  7. Good to see Gray on the floor even if it was for just a glimpse. Tough missing your senior year of athletics and no doubt the team missed Nick this year.
  8. Always puts a pit in my stomach to hear. Interesting that they are doing surgery so soon; seems to be the new school of thought to get the surgery done before muscles start shutting down which makes sense to me. Good luck and prayers to you Erica.
  9. A few shots of the Twenhofel 8th Grade girls from game against Conner
  10. All Finals 6th Girls Twenhofel vs. Gray 6th Boys Woodland vs. Blessed Sacrament 7th Girls IHM vs. Conner 7th Boys Gray vs. Ockerman 8th Girls Twenhofel vs. Camp Ernst 8th Boys Holmes vs. Tichenor
  11. 8th Grade Girls are set for Saturday 5:00 at Conner High School as undefeated Twenhofel goes against single loss Camp Ernst. Should be a good one.
  12. In girls 8th Grade girls action last night; Conner defeated Holmes and Twenhofel came back to defeat Gray.
  13. This is what is helping SK lately; Wainscott seemed to almost try to score on every possession and others are involved now....but perhaps the biggest difference is the SK Freshman understanding the SK defensive system which takes some time to get.
  14. SK's defense held Holy Cross to just 10 first half points. SK guards are playing better together and the inside game is much more productive. SK clearly a regional underdog going into the season but they look to post season play as very dangerous.
  15. It sure felt like SK missed more than 7 throws to me; felt like a big difference in the game. Chambers lost a contact on this no call drive: Steiner looking for contact. Impressed with the strength of OC's inside game. Tough for SK to score inside.
  16. IMO, defensive oriented coaches don't care if they beat you 4-2, as long as they win. I don't know Coach Dawn's system all that well but the 4 or 5 times I have seen his teams perform, I would call him a defensive oriented coach. There are a lot of coaches who like to tag their programs as defensive oriented because it sounds tough but there truly aren't a lot of them out there. Defensive coaches can take athletes who aren't true basketball players and still beat you. Congrats to New Cath on the win. I am really looking forward to seeing all of the teams mentioned in the Regionals.
  17. 8th Grade girls tourney should be a good one. Several schools were hit hard by kids moving up to high school teams this season. Twenhofel is probably the favorite but any of the other top seeds could certainly win it all; Camp Ernst, IHM or Holmes. Also, Gray knocked a strong RA Jones team and could also win it all. The Gray vs. Camp Ernst game tomorrow at Gray should be a good one. Will Gray's home court advantage give them enough to come out on top? Twenhofel has some depth which is often the formula for winning middle school tournaments. They don't have any superstars but play very well as a team. Good luck to all the teams left.
  18. I really thought it was a two horse race going into the season with Anderson the fave followed by WV. I believe now that it is the most wide open region in the last 5 years. South is likely the favorite but Owen has come charging to the front. SK is playing much better as Stowers has the freshman class starting to play the defensive system there. Should be a fun tourney...at Gallatin?
  19. Wow, love the crowd shots. Good to see girls B-ball supported this way, especially in a regular season gamme.
  20. Stephenson continuing to improve this year. Played with a lot of confidence tonight. Charge called against Owings that could have been a three point play and lead with seconds left. Wainscott with baseline drive and score in final minutes. Freshman Cook with a strong game
  21. I like Reilly's demeanor. Always the same. Great kid to boot. Keep firing up, but maybe not from 35.
  22. Absolutely awesome game. SK led by 3 at half-time and by as many as 12 in the first half. Bryan Station never had more than a single digit lead. SK had a chance to win when a bucket was waived off by a charging call with seconds left. Don't look now but here comes the SK bunch just when a lot of people might have been starting to write them off. The Freshman are growing up quite a bit. Try and get some pics up later.
  23. Barnes get tagged by Smith SK with tough sledding inside Samson did a pretty nice job keeping SK in the game through the early part of the game. Riley takes a shot that got altered.
  24. That's because they had been at the gym for 5 or 6 hours, had bleacherbutt and were hungry. I am pretty sure I saw everything tonight with the exception of a circus elephant. Not sure but I think saw everything tonight from Santa Claus, Karate, 3 basketball games, and a double dutch competition all in a gym that was over capacity by 1,000 people. At some point, you have to decide to beat the traffic. Seriously, SK fans are usually pretty faithful but it was a long night.
  25. Wow, didn't see that coming. My favorite picture is the first one; check out NDA coach's facial expression. Great lighting for pics; my second favorite Northern KY Gym. Great stuff Panda Man. Merry Christmas to your family.
