Congratulation to NCC on a nice win. I am just a little worn out by their Coach's slow, methodical, 70's basketball. It works for them but it felt like we were playing Highlands all over again. I'm just a fan, so this is just my way of venting a little. Your girls played a tough, hard nosed game.

Any details of how this game played out?

New Cath had a great game plan and executed it very well. New Cath handled everything Ryle threw at them. That being said, there were not a lot of adjustments on the Ryle side.

 

The talent and athleticism on the Ryle team is as good as I have seen in along time. I am not sure they were used to their potential in this game. New cath basically played 5 or 6 players and Ryle stayed in a zone for most of the game.

 

Kiernan (frosh) had a monster game in the paint for the Lady Breds.

If Ryle played a lot of zone like it was mentioned, that will always lead to a lower scoring game. I don't think 61 points sounds like NCC was slowing it down. If Ryle didn't like the pace of the game they should have played a trapping man to man and tried to force the pace of the game.

NCC just out and out BEAT Ryle!! Good game to NCC.

I'm not making any excuses for the loss. The young ladies got beat tonight. I wish we would of played a trapping man to man. We didn't and didn't do much else well tonight. The final score got inflated a little in the last of the 4th quarter. The 1st half was slower than a snail's race.

NCC has a nice team, as does Ryle. I still like the Lady Raiders winning the 9th.
