  1. Basketball honors The Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches has named it boys and girls Player of the Year and Coach of the Year in each region. Only seniors are eligible for player of the year. Ninth Region girls: Coach – Ron Dawn (Newport Central Catholic); Co-players – Sydney Moss (Boone County) and Jenna Crittendon (Ryle).
  2. Congrats to Dawn Johnson! Awesome player and has really stepped her game up this year. Keep rolling Raiders! Congrats to Jenna Crittendon for being named this weeks LaRosa's MVP.:dancingpa
  3. Without a doubt PaNDA! Thanks for the awesome pictures!! Jenna's mission is not complete until she get a part of 2 more nets!
  4. You aren't kidding!! And even got his first piece of a net compliments of Jenna:) Awesome game - awesome atmosphere. Can't wait for next week. As always PaNDA - great to see you and fabulous pictures!!
  5. Crittendon:cool: I hear Voskuhl has a pretty severe ankle injury?
  6. Don't you worry about JC....she knows how to handle the pressure! Ryle took a thumping for sure but everybody has an off night. Ryle had nothing to lose with this one!
  7. The black armbands have CS embroidered on them. They have dedicated their entire season to Clint. From the coaching staff to the players to the parents to the fans - they have warmed my heart more than they will ever know! Now all we need is that state championship trophy..... Panda - as always - awesome pictures!
  8. Jenna played most of the game - still recovering from a stress fracture - had 7 points, 5 rebounds, ```2 steals, 2 blocked shots. Smith contributed 4 points and several rebounds - she is seeing a lot of playing time and will only continue to get better.
  9. Final from Union. Ryle senior Tyianna Douthit led all scorers with 15 points. Dawn Johnson and McKell Oliverio each added 13. Good game between 2 good teams.
  10. As long as Jenna plays ball he will never truly be gone:)
  11. Thursday night at Ryle. 1st true test this year for Ryle. Ryle took a beating from this team last year. Crittendon has been playing in 3-4 minutes spurts just coming out of a boot for a stress fracture, but should be good to go the entire game on Thursday. Freshman Hailey Smith is a nice strong addition in the middle. I am going with Ryle by 10. :ylsuper:
  12. This is Mrs CKSHOCKEY. Thank you all for your kind words! Clint was one of the most kind and compassionate people I have ever known and also not afraid to voice his opinion - as all of you know:) The Ryle Lady Raiders have truly lost their #1 fan in the stands but not in their hearts. Clint's love and passion of the game will continue through others and he instructed me lately not to be afraid to get in here and battle with the boys if the need arises:) Clint's last few days he was struggling and Crunchtime you are right.....come hell or high water he was going to see Jenna sign her LOI with Xavier. That day was without a doubt one of the most heart-wrenching days I will ever have - bittersweet to say the least. Jenna and Uncle Clint had and will continue to have a very special bond. Look out folks - she will definitely be on a mission this year! God bless you all!
  13. I believe Ryle will compete for the Region Crown, once again. They will be high scoring and play "in your face defense". They have a couple of new players who will help fill the holes from the loss of Abby Jump and Liz Meyer. The 9th Region, as always will be neck and neck troughout the season. Good luck and great health to all of the young ladies this season.
  14. They have great coaching and great feeder schools. I think they will be just fine.
  15. NewCath and big. Too many weapons to stop. SK will be ok, they are young and struggling right now. I still see a .500% year for them.
  16. No. Beechwood will rebound nicely from this past Friday's error prone game and beat the Indians by at least 2 td's.
  17. My opinion is that Beechwood will be just fine. A win is a win, even an ugly one. I see the Tigers steamrolling their way into the playoffs.
  18. Great job Tigers! The win was no great suprise, however, the shutout was.:thumb:
  19. Beechwood is as tradition rich a program as there is in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. While I agree that Mayfield should be ranked #1 I still feel this is one of those special Beechwood teams, and yes, we will be disappointed in falling short of another State Championship. As for Simon-Kenton? Should be a great game with absolutely nothing on the line! Though UK Fan may resort to "Hari Kari" should The Tigers suprise.
  20. I don't know how to accuretely compare teams from different eras but I do know that this latest Mayfield Squad is as good as there have been in Class A. I do hope ( being a Beechwood Grad 1976) that my Tigers can figure out a way to beat them this year. No offense...
  21. Congratulations ladies on the success you have achieved over the summer. Can't wait for November!
