I believe it gives a player to have the chance to develop his or her skills and to play against some of the best High School players in the game. It has also become imperative if you want the exposure to Collage Coaches and recruiters. Is it demanding on the players and their families? Absolutely, but the benefits of earning a "Full Ride" somewhere outweigh the demands, IMO.

After being down at the half by 4 points Manual has taken charge in the second half and leads Bowling Green by 15 with under 4 minutes in the game.

I think that because a schools feels that something may need a change reflects badly on the person who was in charge. I don't know Coach Elkus but I have never heard anything negative about him at all. I wish him well. I think the Dixie faithful would like to see their team competitive again on a larger stage. Nothing wrong with that, IMO. It has to start with getting young ladies interested in basketball again. Good luck to the program, as well.

Here's hoping they can find someone who can return Dixie to the top of the heap in the 9th Region. 1st challenge is to get some good athletes to go out for the team.

Their 6 foot center is legit. She accounts for 36% of their offense. Not sure who backs her up though.

I still believe the 7th and the 9th Regions are by far the toughest in the State. Do they win more State Championships? No, but the winnwrs of these Regions have been battle tested and a lot of times, beaten up by the time they make the State Tournament. Hopefully the Lady Breds can get pumped back up and make a serious run. I believe they are as capable as Marion Co., Rockcastle County or Manual of winning it all.
