  1. Shawn West has been hired at Great Crossings. Looks like Grant County is now open.
  2. I'm pretty sure Conner will play Saturday in Georgetown. I'm not sure who they will play but my guess is West Jessamine.
  3. Update: The 1:30 and 4:45 games are switched.
  4. At Henry County on Saturday 10:30 Walton Verona vs Danville Christian Noon South Oldham vs Nicholas County 1:30 Conner vs Western Hills 3:00 Grant County vs Nelson County 4:45 Owen County vs Spencer County 6:30 Gallatin County vs Louisville Moore
  5. Hearing AJ Mason is back at the helm of Williamstown. Good for Williamstown if that is the case. He did a great job having his teams prepared and ready to play during his first tour of duty with Williamstown.
  6. Coach Thacker was one of the best coaches/people I had the privilege of getting to know over the past 20 years. Great coach who cared about his program and his kids.
  7. I agree with cincyswords Coach Sorrell was a great ambassador for the game. I wish him all the best going forward.
  8. WV played last night without one of their starters who was sick. It was nice to see 6-foot sophomore Ava Kendall make an appearance for WV last night. She missed the whole season and just started practicing the previous week. Injuries are part of the game. You hope to be healthy at the right time.
  9. This was an Odd game. Grant County is up 20-7 after one. WV goes on a 17-0 run to take a 24-20 lead. Grant County hits a 3 with under a minute to go in the half for the 24-23 halftime score. Third quarter Grant County takes the lead for good. WV did cut it to 44-41 with about 2 minutes left. Grant County scored on a 3 and WV went down and hit a layup (47-43). Grant then spreads the floor and starts shooting free throws. Walton did not score again.
  10. WV got up 31-11 in second quarter and kind of coasted from there. Congrats to Braylin Terrell on scoring her 1000th point.
  11. It was a very competitive game. I don't think either team had more than a 5 or 6-point lead. With 14 Seconds left, WV had the ball out of bounds up two. BB fouls once WV got it inbounds. WV missed both free throws and BB came down and nailed a 3 for the win.
  12. She did not play. Ryle is so young, they are going to be very good down the road. WV has been playing well over the last few games. Last night WV lead by 14 at half and it basically stayed around that the whole 2nd half. I think Ryle did get it down to 9 at one point in second half.
  13. Walton for most part handled pressure ok. They did have a few turnovers. Holy Cross is really good at pressure. Walton's zone bothered Holy Cross at times. Crowd was really good. Not very many empty seats. Plus band was there, great atmosphere.
  14. Walton lead by 6 at half. Holy Cross took the lead in 3rd and never gave it back. Walton had the ball with a chance to get the lead back with 3 or 4 minutes left. Holy Cross made plays down the stretch, and free throws. Walton played well and Terrell was really good tonight. Fun game to watch.
  15. This one got away from Grant early it was 20-4 after 1. Grant is playing without Ginn, which makes them a different team. Hopefully, she will be back soon. I expect the district tournament game between Grant and Walton to be much closer. Yes, Holy Cross will be a challenge for Walton. As DD stated, if Walton can not handle the pressure that Holy Cross will bring, it could get away from Walton quickly.
