Why is Conner having such a hard time scoring? They look pretty good on paper but they just aren't performing on the court as everyone expected.

Well for tonight at least, #44 of CovCath had a big hand in making Conner players either adjust their shots or rush them. Baker seemed have a hand in the face of the Conner shooter and or was swatting the ball away all night long of the Conner shooters.

BTW a huge tip of Theoldguy hat to Alex Connelly for showing some outstanding sportsmanship and class. :thumb:

With about 3 seconds left in the game, Cubbie was the recipient of a pass about 10 steps or less from the CovCath basket and was all alone but instead of getting the easy (for him at least) slam dunk, Cubbie just dribble away from the basket until the buzzer went off.

Proud of you young man! :thumb:

Very impressed with CCH tonight. They have nice size, good shooters, play good defense and have nice depth off the bench. Drew Baker is a very nice player with length that makes shooters adjust big time. He had numerous blocks and deflections tonight. Thelen is also a very good player with strong post presence. On the other hand, Conner needs to make some serious adjustments. Perhaps they need a shake up in the line up. Team just doesn't seem to be playing with heart and passion. This team has got to get more out of Tyler Hodges. He is getting in early foul trouble, getting easily frustrated and it is affecting his play. He seems to be pressing a bit. I think he just needs to stop putting so much pressure on himself. Some silly fouls in the 2nd half fouled him out with over 6 min. remaining. IMO, that is unacceptable for a senior leader. He has got to play smarter than that. Conner visits Ryle on Friday. This will be a very important game for this team. They just don't seem to be playing as a unit right now. Only bright spot for Conner tonight was their JV squad staying undefeated and avoiding the sweep for the Cougars.

When Schult comes back from his injury CCH will go 11 deep. They played 10 players tonight and each got a good number of minutes. Nice luxury to have.

I'm really like Maschinot's game this year. More confident. More aggressive and looking to score. He stays so low it's hard for people to stayy with him. He'll be key to their success.

Full-court pressure is still a problem for the CCH offense.

Nice showing by the Colonels.

Skinniest kid on the team for the Colonels seems to have a lot of swagger.
