Simon Kenton beat Grant County 80 to 37...Syd Wainscott led all scorers with 30 points in limited action due to foul trouble...

IMO, if Walton has the bigs, and SK has the guards, and basketball is all about matchups...it is going to make for an interesting district tournament!

SK has a very talented freshman class. Owings, the point guard, is probably the best true ball handler that they have had in years. She is small but has a good understanding of the game. They will be fun to watch over the years. I wouldn't use this game as too much of a barometer though as Grant plays a few 8th graders at the varsity level.

How strong is Grant County this season? I am surprised a school that size is using 8th graders, especially this early in the season.
