  1. Anytime a program is recognized nationally is a great honor for the local area as well as the entire state. Congratulations to the players, coaches and community.:thumb:
  2. SS, I believe it was the school up in the northeast that he already visited once before.
  3. Maybe, but I'll stay with Collinsworth, Fennell and Bardo.
  4. 21 and 33 were in the hearts of everyone of those seniors each week and will be forever.:thumb:
  5. The week leading up to the State Championship can produce many distractions. How well a team handles the distractions can be essential to how they perform come game time. I've seen all 3 practices this week for the Birds and they were very focused and making good use of their time on the field. At this point of the season the "teaching" is over. It's time to put it all together for the game of their lives. I'm predicting a great game with great effort by both teams. Good luck to the young men on both teams. I'm sure your respective communities are very proud of you. Go Birds!
  6. Who's 6'7" on their roster?
  7. Looks good to me. I'll take a State Championship win no matter how many points they win by. Go Birds!
  8. Great article about Tyler. You won't find many other young men as well rounded as him. Congratulations Tyler, well deserved. Keep up the good work!:thumb:
  9. A very good observation............
  10. Congratulations to the Falcons and to the Ft. Campbell community. Good Luck next week.
  11. TBirds, Tyler is fine. He was at our house this afternoon and we watched the game tape. You're right, it was very unnecessary to say the least. Fortunately he didn't suffer serious injury and the penalty was called.
  12. Having been at practice both Monday and Tuesday this week, I like what I've seen from the Birds. As always, the weekly new wrinkles in the gameplan are to counteract the Birds opponents strengths and weaknesses. I predict a very good highschool football game Friday night. Best of luck to both teams. Go Birds!:thumb:
  13. The D "nose" for HHS is Justin Johnson (JJ). I've noticed he's gotten much better over the past 6 weeks. I thought he had 3 great games against Ryle, Montgomery Co., and Dixie.
  14. Great "TEAM" win for the Birds. Give credit to the DB's for shutting down Dixie's passing game. Keep working guys, you're almost there.:thumb:
  15. All 3 of these young men make big hits and big plays. Not to mention the rest of the defense like Roller, Dierig, Alford, Seidl, and Sullivan fly around the field making plays. Good luck to both teams!
  16. Congrats to S.K. Best of luck the rest of the season!:thumb:
  17. I'm not sure where they went, but it must have been good because they played awesome last night.............
  18. I heard somewhere around 50-60 yards. Another nice job by the Birds defense.
  19. I'm sure both teams have improved since earlier in the season. I like what I've seen from the Birds this week in practice. The focus, discipline and attention to detail was obvious. As LN has pointed out, Dale is unpredictable. Almost reminds me of practices during the playoffs. That's not to imply in anyway the Birds are looking past the Raiders. That's not going to happen with the coaching staff. I expect the game to be hard fought by two good teams.
  20. That's great to hear about Jacob. He's struggled this season due to illnesses. I'm very happy for that young man. I also love the way Ian McGurn and Jason Waldenmeyer play. Watching them on the scout teams against the Varsity is only making them better for next year. Best of luck to all 3 of them.....
  21. The Long Snapper is Mitchell Meyer (Soph). He did a fantastic job last night as some have pointed out. I was also impressed with Austin Bowling on the D-line for HHS in the second half. He was in Cov. Caths. backfield several times.
  22. Where and when is this game?
