Qryche11
This is somewhat surprising but once again the Birds don't play with their full set of chess pieces. Grubbs and Kowolonek were out tonight. Congrats to the Wildcats though for the big win at home. They are going to be a major darkhorse to win the Region. Einstein70
The Cats had this game in hand from the start. I think Kowolonek did play tonight. Nice win for Newport!

katbird
The Birds didn't even look like they wanted to play tonight. It was a pathetic effort on their part. I don't see the in your jock defense like they used to play. It was really really bad tonight..:irked::irked:
Theoldguy
So I am guessing Newport voted not to seed this year and go with the luck of the draw! Poor decision, indeed a very poor decision!

af veteran
Looks like that district is going to be a good one. I think the 36th District is one of the toughest in the state this season.

NHS BIG DADDY
Very nice win for the Wildcats, hate to play teams that arent at full strength because it kind of takes a little away from the win but thats out of their control. Keep it up fellas.

Highlands depth is very good, probably the best in the 9th. They have about 8-9 that can play and contribute. Injuries are a part of the game so I expected Highlands to do much better against Newport. Is ther a problem with the Birds?

WOW can't beleive this group of seniors laid down and took this beating and Coach Flynn allowing it. Highlands looked like they were unprepared... expecting to get beat Why come out and play a 2-3 zone defense??? And keep running the same "flex" offense over and over and over :deadhorse: Not ready to throw in the towel on the Bluebirds but there's enough talent to compete with Newport even with the injuries. Newport has a very experienced team. Congrates to the Wildcats!!!
