Congratulations to all !!!

I realize he's up against Ricky Buckler, Miles Simpson, and Austin Collinsworth...but man, Zach Sowder is a heck of a gamer. He sure could have made first team in my book. It's a shame there wasn't a "utility" designation. He'd have had it locked.

Typo

Logan Carney was so good he made 1st AND 2nd team DB.

Congrats to all the players! A special congrats to Schlosser and Grubbs from Highlands... I'm glad that these Bluebirds' offensive linemen are getting some much-deserved recognition.

Agreed!!! Glad to see Cam Dierig get some recognition too!! :dancingpa :dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa

I wish Sowder was able to make 1st team but it still a good accomplishment for the young man. I wish him well in his future, whether it be football or baseball that he he decides to continue in his career.

Good catch. I didn't type it; I just cut and pasted what was sent to me. :thumb:

Congrats to all of these fine young men.

Congrats to those that made the list, but there are several others that could have easily been selected. There are a few that are obvious picks, but there's some that made it just by name alone. How can you have an All Conference running back and not one of his key (the hole he uses to get most of his yards) O-Linemen make 1st or 2nd team........DUH. The voters don't have a clue!

Congrats to all! All deserving in my book...

Wish they wouldn't have a 2nd team. 2nd team is kind of like thanks... but no thanks. Why not go with 1st team and then Honorable Mention?

Great recogniton for all the athletes... good year for Northern Kentucky Football. Obvioulsy, a ton of talent in N Kentucky.

Congrats to all!!!!!!!

The two best kickers in NKY this year, senior Erik Pederson of Ryle and Adam Weinel HHS didn't even get a mention? Would love to see the rationale on these non-choices.

Pederson made 6 of 7 FGs (mostly long-rangers including 45 and 39 yarders against CovCath) 25 touch backs and 59/61 PAT's (actually only missed one - from 25 yards in the mud after a penalty) for a total of 76 points scored. His only FG miss of the season was from 43 yards against PRP and it looked good on end zone video. He came back and made his next two in state playoffs against PRP and St. X.

He even got in on the defense making 3 TD saving open-field solo tackles on kickoffs and even recovered a fumble. What more could a kicker do?

Is there some sort of 'quota' on how many players from various teams can be chosen? I don't get it...

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THE PLAYERS!!!

Congrats to all the players chosen.

Wow would that be an awesome backfield with Simpson/Collinsworth and Buckler.
