Believe it or not, I just may be. The coaches probably don't get a good enough look to make assumptions about players from other teams. I have seen some of these mentioned players play, and some I have never heard of. And yes some of the nominations are a joke. Some of the coaches can't get it right on the field, so what makes you think they can get it right off the field? Bottom line if you're a kid who knowingly deserves to be on the list, don't pay attention to this political pet picking process. Continue to work hard and know that the only recognition that really counts is the recognition from your college letters of interest. Sell yourself, don't wait for this association to do it for you.

I'd say they were pretty consistent in their voting as all 3 first team runningbacks had offensive linemen from their team also named first or second team. Unless I'm missing something.

True, but not necessarily the best lineman, perhaps seniority or popularity overrides performance. It's not just the o-line nominations, do you believe that any back that reaches 1000 yards should be considered for 1st or 2nd team (regardless of overall team record)?

Any back that gets 1000? That's really hard to say as I would imagine it would change year to year depending on what kinds of numbers the other backs being considered are putting up. Some years 1000 is huge, other years it gets dwarfed by bigger numbers. Team record should not enter into it though. IMO.

That is an awesome backfield but it is ridiculous to think that d'vontae Bradley is not on the first or second team. He deserves this award as much as anyone!!! Anyway, congrats to everyone
