So you are saying Saban and his coaching staff are incompetent and don't know talent when they see it?

Many other D-1 colleges beg to differ. Offers like this speak for themselves about the kids abilities so I'll trust these schools judgement and evaluating skills over opinions like ours. Remember Alabama is always atop of the recruiting rankings so Saban knows who he wants and how they will fit into their system. I wish the kid well.

I still don't think they go those wins back as they have already been informed by the KHSAA saying those rules aren't retroactive.

I will say this though, many teams don't really tend to their field in the off-season so right now it may not be taken care of by the high schools since their seasons are over. However, even during the season it is rough. I remember when my son played there for the NKY Junior All-Star game there in 2007. Apparently in order to get ready for the game, they just "dumped" dirt on the field. So when they when the players went to play, they were literally digging out all the dirt at home plate and at the pitchers mound because there was no solid ground to stand on. My son and many other players said it was like climbing out of a hill at home plate after an at-bat because they had to dig out so much dirt to get some solid ground to swing. Very, very poor conditions.

Holy Cross and Holmes bought the field (split the costs between them) from the city years ago and they play their high school ball games there. So if you are going to blame anybody, it would be them.

I believe both did. Scott defeated Holmes in the championship game to win it.

That would only have applied to the 10th region Freshman Tournament and not the NKY one. Brossart and Campbell County did not compete in that one if my knowledge is correct. They won that tournament so it firmly cements them as one of the top freshman groups in NKY. It may have been a difference in the 10th region one, but it was not in the NKY Freshman Tournament.

Scott isn't in the 9th region, they are in the 10th. That will change the percentages just slightly, probably sending the 10th into the 20% range.

Kellen Smith (Scott) got jobbed a little in this. All around great PG thats been leading NKY in assists and points the past 2 years. If he wasn't in the very bottom end of the top 25, he should have at least been in the "Closing In" portion of the list. Thats a really big snub there.

Nick Jackson will be a kid to keep an eye one. He is very good down low and he is the very reason the Scott freshman were able to take the NKY tournament and also advance to the 10th Region freshman tournament. The freshman team went 10-deep as a team as they were very evenly balanced so its hard to say who will see some varsity minutes this upcoming year. They might not contribute that much as sophomores next year but Scott will have an extremely deep team once they get another year of experience and are juniors. It looks like Scott is going to continue being successful for the next several years.

If I'm not mistaken, they were ousted in the semifinals by Mason. Scott may or may not have had their legs in that game as they played a game the night before in a game in the NKY freshman tournament, only to have to come back the next day to play Mason County in the 10th Region Freshman tournament. They may have still lost even if they didn't play that first game but they certainly would have had fresher legs if they didn't.

They were 18-10 this past year and they also won another 37th District Title (their 3rd in a row). They lost to GRC by 6 in the semifinals of the 10th Region Tournament. They also have one of the best freshman teams in the area as Scott won the freshman NKY tournament. I'd say last year was very much a success for Scott.

I've been a little out of the loop for virtually all basketball related content since the conclusion of the NCAA Tournament so I appreciate the info.

Chane is looking to move again? Thats news to me.

It would matter if Price was living in Kentucky and was going from one school to another within the state. However, if you move from outside of Kentucky, you can pretty much do whatever you want. I don't see a problem with taking a look at all the schools since there is an open enrollment policy because this his most important year of high school, his senior year. He needs to enjoy the school setting he will be apart of as well as get a quality education. I don't see anything wrong with what he is doing.

Anybody who makes the State Tournament is good regardless of the strength of the region they came from.
