Williams is a class act pithcer, one of the best in the region. But to say Boyd Co. has a cake walk is another thing. Raceland has giving them a loss this season. And they face Russell Tuesday. I'm wondering why Russell pitched there ace today against Bath Co. and not save him against Boyd Co. Potter and Taylor would give Boyd Co trouble??????????

A single A team putting it on the big County team. Surely the baseball team at the County is not going to self destruct like the football team did ?

Velocity is good, but if you can't throw a strike with it what good is it. Location should be the first thing to learn ( in Little League & Babe Ruth) then put the pepper on it. Location makes the player concentrate & teaches fundamentals. If he does not have this he should not be throwing in High School. All this junk throwing in LL & BR is uncalled for. If a kid learns this young he will be able to throw 82- 86 with other good junk in High School with consitent strikes. :fire: :fire: :fire:

Agree, If the Refs position them selves correctly. There would be no problem. You got to remember that these are high school players not college yet. High school kickers normal have a hard time getting between the uprights until there junior year. Freshman kickers are lucky to even get a PAT off. Leave the uprights the way they are. :fire: :fire:

The players should have no decision in picking the head coach in any sport.

This is great and is this going to be a yearly event? Will be good for the kids. They have played each other for years coming up thru league ball and it will be good for them to play together. Cause friendship last a life time. Coach Tackett is a great pick for this. His heart is in the right direction. Is there a set number from each school for this or just all Seniors that have played and that want to? This will be a big task for Chad and his asst. But this is a great thing. What about the players that have sign to play somewhere in college. Are there any stipulations. What kids from Russell (AA State Champs 2006)are playing. Would love to see Russell play some Ohio teams, Ironton, West, Wheelersburg, Rock Hill, Portsmouth???. Until they realign the district it won't happen. Unless they drop Greenup Co, Ashland, Boyd Co and that is not going to happen either. Russell has to play there district games which is 7 games. That don't leave much else. But would love to see it happen. Maybe in the future. :fire: :fire: :fire:

If there HEART was in the right motive it would show in there every day life. You reap what you sow. The Dodd Squad was about the coach and his cronies not about the kids. Agree: It was evident that Russell's weakness was the ball control. Nonshalant getting up court and the same get back down court and not protecting the ball. Katy is an excellent player and leaves it all on the floor. 100 % all HUSTLE RH came out 2 qtr and put pressure on the guards and Russell had no answer. One thing I did see is when a coach stands on the side and has her hand out for a high five for the player when they foul out and the player totally ignores her. Total disrespect ?????????? Congrates to the Royals. They deserve the win.

Agree: Secured coaching job for a few years ????? Give the credit to the kids. They played Basketball not Dodd ball for 3 qtrs. Elliott almost got back in the game 1 qtr by Russell pulling the ball out when a high percentage shot was there to make (Dodd ball). Then a turn over or silly foul. Agree. Elliott Co was in the bonus before the end of the 1st Qtr and 1 min into the 4th Qtr. How many Elliott Co. players fouled out ????All I saw was one of the black & white stripes. At the end of the game. Throw the ball to one of the security (KSP) and ran out of the building back to Greenup Co as fast as he could get there ????? Devils played a great 1 half. As I said this team can play if let off the leash. 2 half was ????? Don't know how many times ( 6 -8) Russell had high % shots and would pull back out and then would turn the ball over or a petty foul would be called and send Elliott back down the floor while they were in the bonus. Not taking nothing away from Ferguson but Gill should have been MVP. Great win for the Devils and RUPP ARENA here come the RED DEVILS. :fire: :fire: :fire:

What a match up. We saw this coming months ago. Russell matches up with RH. Russell's girls need to get ready to lace them and play hard the whole game. Stay focused cause you have a good coach and he will put you in position to win. Play with Pride. Russell is the only team that can Win over RH. Play physical and try to win every ball and the RH girls will come apart. Queen is a solid player, The best in the area. But RH girls are due to come apart. What a game tomorrow night. Elliott Co. wants revenge and Russell is hungry. This should be interesting. Vanhoose & Ferguson. Who will prevail?????? Russell has being playing good "D" this tournament and can get in your face on the perimeter. Can Elliott do something with Russell's inside game with the way they have stepped up.
