To my knowledge this is the second year in a row a losing team had the M.V.P. (last year Vanhoose from Russell). When is the last time a freshman was M.V.P. of the 16th region (J.Ferguson-Elliott)???

Correct, the runner up team has had an MVP player 3 years in a row starting with Adam Howard of Ashland, Jonathan Vanhoose of Russell, and Jonathan Ferguson of Elliott.
