newarkcatholicfan Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Will Russell be playing Rock Hill, Ohio this coming season?
Russelldad Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 No they will not it is the same schedule as last year that is if your Talking about the state champion Russell then no they wont be playing them this year
DEVILPRIDE78 Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Would love to see Russell play some Ohio teams, Ironton, West, Wheelersburg, Rock Hill, Portsmouth???. Until they realign the district it won't happen. Unless they drop Greenup Co, Ashland, Boyd Co and that is not going to happen either. Russell has to play there district games which is 7 games. That don't leave much else. But would love to see it happen. Maybe in the future. :fire: :fire: :fire:
WoodyJr Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Even if/when they have an opening they historically don't play many Ohio teams as I recall Woody Jr
FBALL Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Even if/when they have an opening they historically don't play many Ohio teams as I recall Woody Jr Russell historically has played many Ohio teams. Most recently was Portsmouth West. Before that was a series with Wheelersburg. Ironton, Portsmouth, Rock Hill and South Point have all been on the schedule when there are open spots to fill. You recall incorrectly.

Maybe they've just had a full district schedule for longer than I thought and I didnt recall those Ohio games. I just wish more of our good teams would/could beat up on those HS buckeyes - which is hard to do sometimes;) Woody Jr
