Wow that has been eleven years ago......how time flies???

Its so quiet because of those Cards....We haven't had time to concentrate since Miami!!

Saying Elder is the doormat of the GCL is like saying Trinity, St. X or Male is the doormat of the Louisville's Big 3. You are still dealing with one of the top football teams in Ohio year in and year out. Congratulations to both CovCath and Highlands, I applaud you for taking on the Cincinnati schools. Once again, you have proven that you are competitive with any school no matter what size or state.

The series record is 2-1 MBA as far as I know. They have beaten the Rocks last 2 state championship teams. Year in and year out this is one of Tennessee's best and they play in the toughest division. They have 110 years of football tradition, great school pride, a Notre Dame like campus and tremendous alumni support. Having a game under their belts is another definite edge to the Big Red. They can never be overlooked. That being said, I am optimistic about the Rocks chances, I see a close 1st half but Petrino and the offense should improve as the game goes on. Trinity 21-7.

lol

lol

A 2006 4A favorites thread = T and X have advantages in facilities, numbers..... A new year, same stuff, and no end in sight. Who are T and X out state comp this year?

As bad as Male made Trinity look in the first half, the Rocks stayed in the game and pounded Male in the third quarter. The game was decided when Byron who was leading the comeback for the hard luck Rocks was injured on the 4th foul by Smallwood and had to leave the game with 6 minutes left. Beaumont who had been quiet for over 3 quarters scored about 8 straight and the Rocks could not respond. Next year's Rocks will have more talent and more experience than this year's team but in the always tough 7th Region that doesn't mean you are going to the state. Good Luck to the Bulldogs, it's going to be tough for anybody to beat the Bruins.

Thanks hearsay!!! But your post kinda makes me think that you think it might be hearsay, hearsay.

Who won?

Deuce looked like a machine in the T-X frosh game. Thats a great backfield combo!

Envy and sour grapes... thats funny, whatever makes you feel better. I wish my school was on Poplar Level, what a great location!!! Anyways can't wait to see the place

Touchy thread, where is this Lexington you speak of !!!!!!! jk

Really, thats interesting, I'll have to make a note of this..... :thumb:

If it is a choice between football and bball, I vote to keep it how it is. Nothing better than the title at the Pizza Box

I enjoy Rupp but not Lexington, the ill feelings for Louisville schools are so obvious and recently just too much for me, these are high school kids. The environment is great though. Aside from that I am just so happy to be back on 64 West as quick as possible after the games. One of my favorites was when the announcer during the Sweet 16 announced a Trinity player by saying he was from St. X!!! Amazing

Holmes and Shelby Co. should be a good game. Shelby Co. has beaten Trinity twice, once in OT and once by 3pts. Eastern should take the Tigers in the other.

Hilarious, doesn't give 3 titles in a row much credit   Couch was on the cover too....uuuhhh   no he wasn't

Its hard to beat 3 straight titles for Brohm, not many hs qb's can claim that. Sure Couch's numbers were better but where are his rings?

Keep speaking the truth, preach on brother

BUSTED, nice TD. Wow lose the paper war then move on to another!!! ALLTELL, #3 with many more to come, I just can't get enough of this I hope it last the whole offseason, which I'm sure it will SWEET 16 :walk:

D was great but our running game on offense was very impressive also

Blame it on injuries, didn't the Rocks have multiple injuries the first game, come on. After the way the Rocks played in the Title I would with out a doubt take them in a rematch, and 7-8 out of 10, the team really progressed as the season went on! How any X person could joke on commercials after the ones I've seen from X the last year is hilarious. SWEET 16

I hate to say it but HC had a great chance to make the T game much closer, they made some crucial mistakes but were very good IMO

Nice post XMAN
