Attended a recent Louisville basketball game and had not been in Freedom Hall in about 15 years. Just a great place to watch a basketball game. I know the KHSAA and State Tournament do much better in attendance having the tourney in Lexington but I for one would like to see them at least consider having the Tourney in Louisville sometime in the future. Remember going there many times as a kid to watch the Tourney and just think Freedom Hall is such a better place to view a game. The area around Freedom Hall has certainly grown up with several more Hotels then in the past.

OK if you like watching games from behind the backboard where two thirds of the seats are. Of course attendance was so bad one could actually get decent seats there in years past.

O.K. then, great post. I know it's all about the money and the KHSAA does better in Lexington and I enjoy Rupp but honestly you are so much closer to the action in Freedom Hall and there is a great deal of history there. Just wish there was a way to from time to time have it in Louisville.

When I grew up a great many kids dreamed of playing in Freedom Hall and it is still a great facility. Again I repeat I'm not suggesting it goes back to the rotating thing they tried for awhile but maybe just once every 5 years or so.

 

Come on boy, let an old guy reflect just a bit. I mean there was life before 1985.

Wasn't there an article posted on this site recently about how more people in NKY are Louisville season ticket holders than UK season ticket holders, NKYBOY?
