There aren't many venues in the nation that compare with the aura of playing in Rupp Arena... especially for Kentucky high school kids.

I was under the perception Louiville was harder to drive in, but the problem was, I had not driven enough in Louisville to know. Now I go to Louisville twice as much as Lexington. Again, they are both about the same distance from where I live. Louisville is no harder to drive than Lexington once you get familiar with the town. Also, I found the enviornment just as friendly and Louisville has very much to offer. The "little brother" reference would not be a reason to not host a state tournament and actually is a die hard UK fans perception. Lexington's Rupp Arena is a great host and a great place to play, but I still don't think many high school players are going to care where they play if they make it to the Sweet Sixteen. Either arena is a great place. I prefer Papa Johns stadium for football for one reason, chairback seating! Other than that, I wouldn't care. The KHSAA has to at least break even and whatever site that helps them do it should be the one along with all the other needed considerations. I think Eastern Ky University is still a little more convenient or central location than Western for the girls but that is only because of driving distance.

That was one game, my friend. BTW....UK beat UL last year as well, and UL went on to the Final Four. I ain't worried!

The way they are both playing, I don't think anyone has to worry about either team making it to the Final Four this season
