While I agree with you in principle, the problem is most school districts are top heavy in administrations. The folks making an actual impact on the education of students (and I firmly believe extra curricular activities are an essential part of the educational process) are the ones getting short changed. Instead of having 10 assistant superintendents, funnel those salaries to the teachers/coaches/sponsors that are actually doing the work.

Very true, but Barkers performance in 2 of his last 3 games leaves a lot to be desired. Mr. Football is an individual / stat driven award.

Which begs the question...why would Conner even put this game on the schedule? Conner should win easily. But they are looking less and less like a representative from the east in 5A.

They can lose to those teams and we are all told how great GCL teams are how it is much better football than X and T. But if H plays X and T and loses then they have no leg to stand on in the we are the greatest proclamations. Losing to a GCL team, they can still make those proclamations.

BG was looking for the Birds in the state finals on 05 and 06 and they were nowhere to be found. You remember 05 don't you? StX put a running clock on you. BG lost 13-7. There is a reason H won't schedule X and T. That is why. If they don't play them they make silly proclamations.

When talking about the depth size and strength of X, the past 2 years have demonstrated BG has more. In 2011 X kicked 2 FG's in the second half. In 2012 X scored 1 TD in the second half. I don't recall much of a running game in the second half of either game. My guess is BG makes the second half adjustments and THEIR depth wins the game for them.

Congrats to all. But having Emmitt Smith ahead of Eli Brown makes this ranking a little suspect. Brown is a Vandy commit and holds offers from Ohio State, UK, UL, etc. Smith....holds no offers.

If Highlands wants no part of Trinity in the regular season, why would Madison Southern?

8-2 with losses to Hillsboro and Fulton Co, TN The Colonels return an awful lot on defense. If they can get the offense going by the playoffs they will be a tough out.

Regular season games and scrimmages against X and T haven't gone well for HHS the past few years. Other than those 2 and maybe BG the past 2 years, nobody is ahead of Highlands.
