Best team in the old Class 3A to not win the State Champoinship?
Yes he did. That was a very good Hoptown team that i believe included Deontay Kenner (UC) and a few others that were D1 type players. That was a great hoptown team (in spite of the Pinner age issue).

South Warren 3A Sleeping Giant
If you don't understand why....then well....you just don't know. You sound a lot like the Greenwood contingent in the late 1990's early 2000's.

South Warren 3A Sleeping Giant
If they start the season off beating a Warren East team with 20+ seniors returning including a big time player in Eli Brown (albeit coming off knee surgery) then i'll fall in line with Doubletake1906.

South Warren 3A Sleeping Giant
I can see the Spartans falling back to the pack significantly this season. Lost a lot of talent and replacing an entire coaching staff without much experience. Can see them finishing anywhere from 4-6 to 6-4.

Top 5 Quarterbacks in Northern Kentucky Fall 2014
Actually the Highlands Trinity scrimmage is not very competitive. SK did beat Collins.

Mercer County Titans 2014 Football Preview
Smith had one really good season where he rushed for 1000yds. I believe it was his senior season...he had to play behind WKU All American Joe Arnold (who is one of the greatest RBs WKU ever had) for most of his career.

Mercer County Titans 2014 Football Preview
Hyperbole much? He was one of the greatest RB's Harrodsburg High ever had.... Looking forward to watching his son develop as I've heard he is talented.

Is 2014 "The Year To Beat Highlands"?
Smith was the defensive coordinator at Bardstown last year.

George Rogers Clark 2014
This is a bizarre thread.

Cooper/Simon Kenton 7 on 7
Cooper was 3-8 a year ago. That pendulum started swinging last year, although looking at their schedule I doubt they will be any worse than 3-8 in 2014.

Truth? Or, Unhappy Coach?
That's one way of looking at it. One could also view it as the entire district/school administration quitting on kids. Football has the largest participation of any extra curricular activity at any school. It is also the most visible. You don't hire a head coach at a school the size of Eastern, give him 2 assistant coaches, and then say "Go beat Trinity!" .....and then judge him for getting his head handed to him.

Beechwood 2014
Healthy thriving big pond > Healthy thriving small pond Unhealthy big pond Still, unhealthy big ponds tend to have more good fish than most good small ponds. Highlands and Mayfield are the 1% exception.

Schools with coaching changes this year
Add Louisville Eastern.

Recruiting is driving me nuts!
Don't get it twisted. It is very fun if you are one of the elite players those coaches need to keep their big money jobs. If you aren't one of those players, you are just part of the camp gimmick to generate money for that schools GA's.

Kentucky kids w/ D1 or 1AA offers
Cullen Reynolds, OL - Madisonville (Committed to WKU) Heath Wiggins, DL - Graves Co. (Committed to WKU)

Scott County's Grayson Miller commits to Michigan State
That's the only kind there is at the FBS Div 1 level.

Should Warren Central ever lose to Highlands?
Even that became boring.

Should Warren Central ever lose to Highlands?
How in the world do you know this? Frankly, I think Warren Central has taken a shot in the dark on a guy that has no high school coaching experience and is just hoping it works out. They were enamored with him because he has been a "college coach". If this shot in the dark fails, it will set Warren Central Football back 5 years. Feggins said that about Highlands because his son played at Highlands and that is the only team in KY he's familiar with. He's never coached a day in his life in the state of KY, much less south central Ky. He probably had no clue when he said it that there is a team 2 miles away from where his press conference was held that's won 44 straight. That's the team he needs to be focused on, not Highlands.
