First we need to name a new coach. Second win more than 3 games in 2 years.......

While I have heard rumbling about a new coach - Clark County needs to quit sitting on it and let everyone know what is happening. Spring Game is already over and summer conditioning needs to get ramped up.

As much as I say this with a heavy heart, its going to be another rough season in Winchester. Cards will be solid at QB and will manage to pull out a good RB, but that is about it.

I thought we would have a new coach named last week. Not sure what the hold up is.

Who are some of the candidates for this job? Whoever it is wi be put in a tough situation given the time frame.

Heard they were going within the system. We have had some former assistant coaches that did the Spring practices.

Former? So they are needing a whole new staff as well?

He was a long time Assistant under Paul Columbia, but was told he was not needed when Collins arrived. Not sure on the status of the assistants that Collins brought in. Was told today that several had been interviewed, but still no official word yet.

The search for a new football coach at George Rogers Clark High School is over.

The Cardinals introduced former University of Kentucky offensive lineman Mike Riddle as coach this morning at the school

Riddle was the top choice on a list of four finalists, which included former longtime Clark coach and current assistant superintendent Paul Columbia, the district’s system director of operations. Other finalists included former Shelby Valley High School coach Aaron Stepp and ex-Berea coach Keenan McWhorter.

Thanks.

I was traveling on Boone the other day and saw some freshmen and sophomores walking home after conditioning.

I heard that Riddle is conditioning them very hard.

I believe that this team is capable of winning the district and having a winning record.
