Anybody who has kids in the program knows that Riddle added coaches recently and only kept a few from 2013.

Well, if "anybody with kids in the program" knows that, then anyone with kids in the program should also know if they are going to participate in 7 on 7, if they are going to camp, and if they have a scrimmage. If not, I venture to say if anybody goes and asks the coach those questions, he will tell them the answers.

Many of us fans no longer have children in the football program. We care about the families who do. When we ask other parents they do not know. It is my understanding that Riddle created no summer calendar for the parents and players. Nobody seems to know what is going on within the program.

The bottom line is this.

 

The football program is very disorganized and the boys will be the ones who suffer for it. Riddle has been there for a month and a half. He knew that he would have to hit the ground running but he is still walking.

 

This will be the seniors 3rd head coach. At least the other 2 head coaches appeared to be more organized.

Many of us fans no longer have children in the football program. We care about the families who do.

If you sincerely care about the program you should go talk to the coach and let him know about some of the community concern. Perhaps he is merely running the program as he has elsewhere and doesn't realize people are upset. A program needs concerned fans who aren't afraid to step in, lend a helping hand and voice concern. That concerned fan should be you.

It is also my understanding that he does not take kindly to outsiders giving him advice about his program.

You sure sound like you have an ax to grind with a coach who has been there 45 days. If you aren't in the information loop, wait for updates. They will be coming.

 

GRC will have two scrimmages (as they do every year) and these will be announced soon. And unless something changes in the next 36 hours, GRC will not be competing in the EKU 7-on-7.

On the contrary, if you check the previous posts you will see that I predicted that Riddle would have the team win between 4 and 7 games this season. Most people are predicting anywhere from 2 to 4 victories. Why would I have an ax to grind with a coach that I feel positive in his success for the upcoming season?

 

GRC cannot have 2 scrimmages if they have a bye during the season and play during what is called Week 0. GRC plays against Rowan County during Week 0 in the Recreation Bowl on August 23.

 

Proper communication goes a long way in having the community support a football program. It appears that Riddle needs to provide a smoother transfer of information as the head football coach.
