I'm curious. Why would Trinity not have spring practice?

A lot of predictions that Eastern would blow away everyone in their path, but they squeaked by the first round by 3 and got beat by 3 in the semi's. Good team, yes. Great team, no.

I get the feeling Eastern was a bit overrated.

I guess Highlands could de-emphasize football and become medicore in every sport.

Warren Central hasn't knocked BG out of the playoffs since 1993. They have defeated them in the regular season the past 2 years.

5A in the west is not much different now than it has been the past 4 years. Christian, Bowling Green, and John Hardin are all candidates to come out of the west. Those are the teams that have won the west the past 4 years. The difference is there is no large pink elephant in the room standing there waiting to beat the crap out of them. Harlan or someone from the east will be good, but I would think who ever comes out of the west would be the favorite just about every year.

That may be true, but those teams will bring something Harlan Co. won't like. A whole lot of speed.

Highlands poster in 3...2...1.......

Trinity won 5 playoff games by an average of 34 pts a game. The closet game being a 19 pt victory on the road at Ryle. They hardly broke a sweat.

What adversity did Trinity confront in the playoffs?

In what capacity? Teacher?

In the athletes section I'd remove anyone except Marcoryeon Tandy and Jalen Harrington and put both Pike and Towels in there.

No Zeke Pike? No Patrick Towels? One or both could have been included in "athletes". I guess both were left off to avoid controversy.:sssh:

Agree. Ironically, MS has already gone the "college coaching" route twice and it didn't work out either time.

So with the number of schools in the Danville/Lexington area he couldn't find a job at one of those schools?

It would be insane for Southern to hire a coach with no teaching certification and had 3 coaching jobs in 3 years. Gilliam is smarter than that.

Moore started every game in 2010 on the most talented WR core of any team in the SEC and had 17 catches. Most people understand the need to recruit out of state, but do not understand missing on Ky players that have offers from other schools that have higher football pedigrees than UK.

I can tell you for a fact that DL Moore was not offered by UK. While you may say Cole did not have a great offer list, his list of offers were as good better than than Eric Adeyemi, Gene McCaskill and Deaunte Mason which were in the same recruiting class. Fugate was a starter at UT most of his freshman year. It's not who UK (or UL/WKU) is missing as much as it is who they are getting instead while missing on instate player.s

I agree with you 100%. I'm no UK or UL fan, but find it ridiculous when out of state D1 schools with higher football pedigrees than UK / UL offer Ky kids yet the instate schools do not. DL Moore, John Cole, Channon Fugate come to mind. WKU isn't much better. To make it even worse, those schools will go out of state and offer a player that has NO OTHER OFFERS!
