Besides my team, LexCath, I find myself rooting for Bryan Station since they seem to get the short end of the stick in Fayette County most of the time. I also root for Boyle County, Franklin County and Jenkins.

Just as a point of information...will the booster club have to come up with the $6K?

I should have known better in starting this thread. What always starts out as a positive affirming thread seems to deteriorate rather quickly by the intervention of those who have an axe to grind. Back to my original thoughts: When was the least time that this type of accomplishment happened?

Lexington Catholic won championships in girls basketball, AAA football and baseball this year. Does it happen often that a school wins a trifecta in a single year?

In a related story...if a team is leading by more than 30 points at half time, the team that is leading will be required to send their playbook to the opposing teams locker room with a promise to only run plays listed on pages 7 and 22. Also, the winning teams players will be required exchange uniforms with the band members who will replace them in the second half. Additional studies will be needed to measure the angst created amongst the remaining band members.

Lexington has a chance if enrollment continues to climb at Lexington Catholic and they eventually go 4A

ScottCountyFan...excellent post. The SC games were the most challenging that the Lady Knights had this year. Hope the respecfful rivalry continues weel into the future. Congratulations and good luck to all of the graduating seniors.

It's amazing that all of this medical advise, coach/parent/player/doctor condemnation is being based on what someone heard on the radio or read in the newspaper. I was not involved in the conversations, therefore, I don't think that I nor anyone else is in a position to question what went on. The bottom line is that all of this thread is supposition aand IMO serves no useful purpose..I'm out

I agree the intros were pitiful. I don't blame the KHSAA as much as I do the staff at the arena. These were probably not KHSAA employees bur WKU employees (again, I'm guessing). I also agree that if this mess happened at Rupp in the boy's sweet sixteen, there would be a lot more people up in arms.

She was,indeed, a great player. Isn't she the coach at Lexington Christian now?

I would agree the Champ Ligon deserves the nod. The Station always seems to the "red-headed step child" in comparison to the other city schools. It's always gratifying to see them step up.

If LexCath stays in it's present location, I don't see any way that it could move to 4A. They've just about maxed out space-wise now.

I don't see how this is great for Lexington football. LexCath has gained respect througout the state for not dodging anyone and playing respectably even against the state's 4A powers. Does anyone really think that the public school 4A programs are going to "magically turn around" by scheduling a 3A school? I would just as soon LexCath continue playing Trinity, Male and St. X and leave the Lex Pubs to continue twisting in the wind.

I am tired of hearing about the ban. As a LexCath supporter, I see nothing that can be gained by playing any of the other Fayette County schools. In the past few years, we have played Male, St X, Trinity and Scott County. I think that this is enough challenge to get us prepared for the district schedule. The publics and the privates should continue to develope in parallel paths. I'm satisfied with where the Knights are right now and cannot see where adding a Lexington Public school game would do anything to enhance our position. It's clear that the decision makers do not want the games to be played so I say just forget about the supposition and play the willing.

I have a suggestion. Move the U of L/UConn game to Commonwealth. U of L probably has a better winning percentage there than they do a Papa John
