  1. Since no one has said it, yet: "Brandon Salsman flat outcoached Billy Hichs tonight"
  2. I was at the game but did not have the best angle. All I know is Martin was on the floor and the ball never reached the basket. We'll take the win any way we can get it
  3. Did anyone consider that this might just have been an opening for an interrupted prayer
  4. If they had, indeed, beefed up their schedule, we would not even be having a discussion regarding post season play. If their schedule were beefed up any more, I seriously doubt that UK would have a winning record
  5. IMO, this team has shown no improvement in the last 3 months, so I really don't see how another 3 weeks could help.
  6. Perhaps he can recruit some quality athletes, then stay home on game day and just let them play. I think they'd have a better chance of winning
  7. One other positive side benefit of legalizing marijuana: Using the logic of our general assembly and their recent tax increases, we could levy a large tax and it would prevent young people from ever smoking, er, I mean toking
  8. I don't understand why any UK fan would want this team in the NCAA tourney. This team has been an embarrassment the entire and does not have a single quality win on which to hang their hat. The coach is way over his head and with exception of only two players, there is not a quality player on the roster (unless their ability is being thwarted by the coaching staff and we haven't seen what they can really do). I do not, under any circumstances want to have this team represent UK in the tourney only to garner a 1st round loss. IMO the object of getting into the tourney should be to win a championship. Does anyone really think this team has a chance of doing that?
  9. Great win for the Lady Knights. Off year without many bright moments but this is certainly a highlight
  10. I agree but after seeing Scott County, I would have to say they're the favorite. Besides, they would be the truest of state champions since they have players from all over the state.
  11. If Billy-Boy is true to form, we won't see Galloway again for a few games
  12. My question is why more schools are not boycotting Scott County in the same manner they boycott other schools?
  13. In my opinion, his arrogance and super-ego do not play well for running a program the stature of UK. All to often his "thin-skinned" retorts to anyone having the audacity to question his decisions is troubling to me. He would thrive much better in a program where his action/reactions are not scrutinized in the manner that they are at a big time program
  14. Great posts. Thanks for contributing to this discussion in a positive manner. I hope that all people, at some time can have open and frank discussions, face to face. The beauty of posting on BGP's is that only one person can speak at a time and others must listen to their statements before posting themselves
  15. Thanks for sharing NWO. I think, to most people, racism becomes real when we hear accounts from those we know and encounter in our everyday lives.
  16. All too often we are told that racism still exists either subtlely or rampantly depending on the source of the information. I would be curious to hear some personal experiences that are racist in nature. I'll only preface my observations by saying that, other than my workplace, I do not have many non-caucasian friends since my neightborhood, like most is mostly segregated. So I have not personally encountered any blatantly racist behavior. What are others experiences?
  17. Just one of the multiple personalities of BCG that doesn't like Liggins or Harrelson was on the bench tonight. Trying to second guess anything that he does is fruitless. I'm not convinced that he even know why he does it. Maybe he wanted fans to stop asking about Galloway or Slone. The mystery that is Billy Clyde continues. Don't be dismayed. Liggins and Harrelson may both play 30 minutes against Georgia and Patterson may not see the floor.
  18. In my opinion, BCG has a delicate ego that takes exception to anyone questioning why and when he does certain things. He even sometimes seems to be passive-aggressive in some of his actions. Case-in-Point: I don't think he would have started Mark Coury every game if fans/media did not continually question this. Perhaps better things will happen in the program when the questions stop and he can let us know that things like starting Galloway at point and getting more minutes from Slone (how do you know he can't play D against an SEC team if he's sitting on the bench) were his idea. Just my opinion but I think our current coach is very thin-skinned and can't believe that anyone would have the audacity to question why he does things
  19. I in no way intend to criticize Zollo but just as a curiosity, what do you think that BCG saw in him that warranted a scholarship offer?
  20. LexCath, after losing many seniors last year, are a young a re-loading team. This loss will only help them down the road. Good win for J'town, nonetheless
  21. Methodology: Do not play with the private school kids and encourage all your playground kids to do the same Goal: Make sure that all of your playmates get a trophy at the end year Desired Result: Hope that the private school kids will get discouraged and buy their own ball and play on the other side of the playground
  22. Is it just me or did Gillispie look like he would rather be somewhere else. If he did any coaching today it was through mental telepathy. I don't think he got off the bench a single time. Perhaps it was just his personal tribute to Mr. Keightly
