Lex. Cath led 10-5 after the first quarter and 29-13 at the break. The Knights extended that margin to 47-27 after three quarter. The Knights led by 22 when Catholic's Coach took out his starters but still had two girls in the game that played a lot with 3:11 to go. Paris exploded from there and came within reach of the Knights and Catholic had to put their starters back in to finished out the game. The Ladyhounds outscored Lex Cath 36-28 in the second half.

Overall, considering who they were playing, Paris played pretty well. A small class A school like Paris, who lost their five starters off of last year's team, holding the No.1 team in the state to 57 points is a shock within itself. After all, Catholic just scored 98 points the other day without the services of Cash.

Congrats Lex. Cath. This is why you can't afford to take your players out of a game in until the losing team concedes defeat in my opinion. It may look bad in many ways but I believe it is the losing teams place to call off the dogs and concede defeat. Great showing for Paris and the 10th region.

Normally I'd agree with you bricklayer but with the bad publicity the Lady Knights get, playing starters late into the 4th in a 20+ blowout would be cause for many of the dissenters to start clamoring about how little class they show.

I was shocked at this score but after reading a summary of the game, it just sounds like after the third quarter the Lady Knights coasted some and Paris kept coming. I'd say come Tournament time few teams will see the Lady Knights let up on big leads.

Seeing the scores from Paris games, it sounds like they are defensive minded

Good post...

Also, the only way to get depth is to develop it. The younger players benefit from the time on the court, and the starters get rest and hunger for the tournament.
