I think teams should receive a forfeit win if the team they're supposed to face, backs out of the playoffs, unless they've made it known in a timely matter. A week before the playoffs start, I think that's too late! IMO

Anderson County played in a five-team district, and they did not qualify for the playoffs after finishing fifth.

It has not been made official, but I think Frankfort has forfeited the playoff game next week against Paris from what I've been told.

Those region championship games during those times, felt like the state finals! #ParisPride

If you go back further, I can remember only the district winner advancing to the playoffs, making the state championship finals the week of Thanksgiving, when they had 3 and then 4 classes.
