Much like "Joe the Plumber" case, I expect that Donofrio's personal information will be "accidently" release to the press in order to discredit him. It could be worse...he could end up "Vince Fostered" -

I don't want to make a big deal out of it, but since you asked what happened: various condiments were splashed or squirted on all of the bleachers on the visitor's side. Someone provided a box of garbage bags so that the seats could be covered before sitting down. A moot point since if you in fact did sit down, you couldn't see the game over the LexCath bench players. I prefer to stand up anyway, so at least in this atmosphere I didn't hear anyone say "down in front" All of this back and forth takes away from the action on the field, however. Overall, I find the Boyle County fans to be most gracious and I love the home field grandstands. I wish we had something like that at LC although I don't think we would ever pack 'em in like the Rebel faithful -

I don't know whether they could have run the ball more or not. It would have been nice to have found out. I do think, however that the offense had improved over the past few games by showing a better mix in running and passing. Again, this might be because of the competition, but I would certainly like to have seen more of Raglin earlier in the game. As for the receivers, I don't think I said they weren't as good; just not as big or speedy. I base that opinion on watching the Knights teams for the last 10 years. That's just my opinion, however. Like noses, everyone has one -
Perhaps you could have a delegation from your church at your house on the 3rd or 4th. If they're willing to let you come to their church, maybe you could bring them to yours

Agree 100%. Obviously, a high school prank which caused no harm. As to the game, Boyle had great execution and seemed to be consistently disciplined in their defense. I would have like to have seen the Knights offense run the ball a little more early. I agree that their WR's aren't as big and speedy as usual and I felt the play-calling was pretty predictable. Overall, a good year for LexCath and best of luck to the Rebels next week -
For all the Joe the Plumber Fans

I'm guessing that the bottom line is going to come down top "what is the definition of rich" when deciding who should be taxed the most. Some might pull an arbitrary figure out of the blue like $250,000. But if not enough revenue is generated, can the definition of "rich" be redefined? I suspect many people will be behind taxing the rich, until they are placed in that bracket by some politician's arbitrary definition -

I think income distribution is a great idea as long a the cut-off income for redistribution is at least $1.00 more than I make. If it's my income that's being redistributed, though, I'd just have to respectfully disagree withthis practice. -

$100.00 oil and $3.90 Gas
swamp thang replied to John Anthony's topic in Kentucky / National Politics
I heard one economist explaining that although oil went to about 150/barrel, the price per gallon did not match this percentage-wise, so the refiners are still trying to recoup the $$$ they spent buying inflated oil. Take it for what it's worth, but he was saying that percentage-wise, the price of a gallon of gas should have gone to >$5.00 when oil was $150 -
I think that the appeal that many feel for her experience, as opposed to Obama's, is that none of her experience involves Washington. Many people are looking for an individual that cannot be tied to a political arena that most Americans have lost faith in evident by the poor ratings of both the President and Congress. Many believe that saying "you have experience in Washington" is not necessarily a good thing

I personally feel that Hazard should have passed more. The fourth quarter rally by the Bulldogs was due, largely, by some beuatiful pass plays.

FOX News: White House Mouthpiece?

I watch O'Reilly on a nightly basis. Generally, on each segment, he has a panelist which represents each side of the issue. Sounds pretty fair and balanced to me. During the past month, I decided to watch the MSNBC program with Keith Overman in order to see how it compares. This show reminds me of an elementary school playground. The panelists and host continually gleefully attack and poke fun of any conservative individual that happens to be in the news this week. There is hardly ever any opposing viewpoint. Overman also seems to have an obsession with O'Reilly as he continually takes quotes out of context and makes a major issue. Thank God the month is over and I can go back to O'Reilly. I challenge any of you O'Reilly haters to do what I have done. If you're basing your opinions of "The O'Reilly Factor" on hearsay, watch the show for a month. If you still don't like him, so be it. -

If this team does not win a state championship, it will be viewed by many as the most unbeleivable waste of talent ever. Talk about pressure on Billy and the Scott County faithful -
My understanding is that he had a 4.0 GPA while at UK. This means that his education will probably be paid for somewhere via an academic scholarship and you're probably right, he'll never play professional ball, but with his academic skills, I feel confident he'll be able to make a fine professional living in another field of his choosing. He always seem to be a fine young man that Kentucky, in my opinion, was lucky to have represent them

As a LexCath fan, I agree, the correct call was made after discussion amongst the blues

Sounds like thye conspiracy theorist are coming out of the woodworks. To even insinuate that the LexCath catcher let the up get hit is bushleague in the least and down right disrespectful of this young man.
-
Just curious...why would LexCath be a huge favorite in your opinion?
-
Bad break for Harrison County. Winning run scores on an error by ss. Great win for the Knights but a tough loss for HC. Both pitchers threw an awesome game.

Penn State coach Joe Pa refuses to greet Bill Clinton

To me, he's just another celebrity whose opinion matters no a hill of beans to me. His not shaking hands will ex-president Clinton means no more or less to me than Oprah's endorsement of Obama or any of the other celebrities fauning over Senator Clinton. We, as Americans, place much to much emphasis on any "celebrity endorsment". Most people in my circle of aquantances are probably better informed than any of these "clowns" and therefore can make up their own minds. Unfortunately, many other lazy Americans would rather take the word of someone that can, sing, dance or act. If you fit into this group and I have offended you, I'm sorry. I have an opinion too
