Glad to...didn't think I could pick it up, but had no problems.

We cant get 101.5 down here.

Listening to it on the radio sounded like Matt Walls had yet another clutch performance! (By the way 630 AM's play by play crew was awful!! The comish or whoever)

Without getting off topic or anything, what was the official reason for moving the SC student section? I'm just curious, not trying to start anything.

Didnt go, but got word that there were 55 or so free throws shot in the game.

Coach Hicks got a T early. Heard that it was his 4th T in the last several years, all of which have come AT Catholic.

Jordan Lee plays about 7 minutes and fouls out.

Cam Hundley fouls out early in the 4th.

Scott lineup for a while consisted of Mackey, Walls, Portwood, Jordan Adams, and the Birchfield kid. That should tell the foul situation.

The SC student section was moved b/c they were supposedly in some Catholic parents seats the first time. Don't know why they were moved again.

Sounded like a wild night.

Markus Burchfield is a name to keep an eye on. He is only a sophmore and he can shoot the ball very well. Should be a solid player when he gets more game experience. SOunded like he provided a few solid minutes late in the game.

Guess it didn't matter where they made the Scott County student section sit. Did anyone get any information on why they were moved twice? Also heard that Walls got a pretty good scratch or cut. Congratulations to Scott County on another hard fought win in a hostile environment.

The reason to wich I think they were moved the 2nd time is that they moved directly behind the Lexcath students section. I think that they might have felt some contraversy might start up during the game so they didnt take and chances...just what i think why atleast. Not sure if the real reason.

I was in attendance last season when he was hit with a T in a game at Scott Co.

The SC student section was set up to be on the lower level behind the SC bench. There was a big banner for this purpose. SC non-student fans ignored the banner and sat in the section before the students got there. Then the banner was moved to the upper section behind the bench and the same thing happened again. LC did not want the SC students behind their bench or behind their students.

Maybe LC could have guarded the original section better. To their credit the SC students were very well behaved other than a few small things and colorful language. And I was right in front of them.

Observations:

1. It was an all-out war. Catholic played very physical - checking all cutters, lots of holding - there were no free drives to the basket for SC tonight.

2. Lots of emotion in this one starting with the moving of the SC student section - followed by the Technical Foul on Coach Hicks (which was weak) - and then followed by the no foul call when Walls gets a rebound and is poked in the eye FROM OVER THE BACK. It wasn't like he landed and the kid reached in - he was still in the air getting the rebound - he bled the rest of the game - getting to the trainer during the MANY foul shots.

3. While Walls and Mackey scored the majority of the points - it was Jimmy Warren's defense in the full-court against Newton that turned the game in SC's favor. The pressure made Catholic bring Novasel out away from the basket (where he was dominating the game). Supporting roles from Marcus Birchfield (I wish he was a Soph., but he's a Junior) and Jordan Adams also played a big role in the win.

4. Scott Co. showed a lot of composure and determination as they were down 8 in the 4th quarter and kept playing hard to get the big win on the road.

5. Tyler Stewart and Nathan Novasel are very good basketball players. We could not stop either one of them most of the night.

6. Catholic played harder and got all the loose balls in the first half - but Scott was the most aggressive in the 2nd half and down the stretch.

7. Catholic played a 3-2 Zone most of the game. They pressed 2-2-1 full court some, but mostly played the zone. They still had trouble staying in front of Bud Mackey - he's a jet.

8. I think even though SC was on the road there was more Red than Blue in the gym tonight. Great fans.

It was a good thing the 2.5s kept everything under control! The students were moved from behing the Lex Cath bench because, it was the Catholic parent section??? How about next time just marking it Catholic parents. Then they went to the section above the Lex Cath student section and they were moved again, even a security guard didn't know why... I went over to him and asked what was going on and he said "I don't know". I think they just gave him a yellow security shirt and told him to stand somewhere.

As far as the game, I thought the officiating was questionable. The game was out of hand quick and the officials were very inconsistent at best. I was really upset when the official took about 10 seconds to stop play, with Scott having the ball, when Matt Walls was cut and bleeding down his face. The T on Coach Hicks was rediculous, as was the other technical on Scott. It reminded me of the T that was called on Mayo.

As far as Lex Cath...I know a lot of the Knight's fans are UK fans and are upset with UK's 10 loss tubby, what about Lex. Cath's own 10 loss "Tubby". He didn't win anything @ Bourbon and he probably won't win anything @ Catholic.
