Pathetic is rather a harsh word don’t you think? Not everyone can be a Highlands or Beechwood. They may not be very good but they give their blood, sweat and tears to a sport they care about and declaring them “pathetic “ is very disrespectful.

The phrase “taken to the woodshed” comes to mind.

Beechwood would have to try really, really hard not to hang 60 on Danville.

Will the concessions win give them a boost in the RPI??

In the current RPI, whether you like the order or not, the top six teams are the best teams in 4A and each has a legitimate shot at being state champions. The remaining schedule probably won’t shake up things to much, although I’m curious how a Boyle win over Freddy D would look in the final RPI. I see Franklin County, Cov Cath, Paducah Tilghman and Corbin winning out and finishing undefeated, but they don’t really have any RPI bumper games remaining (unless you want to count Campbell County as one for Cov Cath). Ashland is interesting in that they have Johnson Central and Simon Kenton remaining. Could wins over those two bump them up? Wins over those two would make them undefeated as well. I’m curious how only playing nine games affects Corbin’s RPI. Does the lack of a game keep them from being able to host a third round or semifinal game?

I won’t make a prediction because I have not seen Lloyd play; however, I will say they better be prepared a fast paced Lex Cath offense because they play at a high rate of speed. Their QB is very mobile and if you don’t get good pressure on him he is very good at scrambling and finding receivers ( and his receivers are pretty good at route running and getting open for him.

Major step up in competition and I don’t think their schedule has prepared them for what Bell County will bring to the table. Plus, Log Mountain is a hard place to get a win.
