The Blue Devils of Henry Clay High School (0-10) (0-3) will make the 4-mile trip to take on the Broncos of Frederick Douglass High School (5-4) (3-0). This will mark only the 5th time the schools have actually played and only the 2nd time since 2019. Douglass is 6-0 all-time vs. Henry Clay including a 1-0 forfeit in 2021. This is a mismatch but in 6A with 32 teams and 8 four team districts it is what is.

Henry Clay is lead on offense by quarterback Rohan Taylor and RB/WR Waldon Cole. The Blue Devil defensive leaders is Luke DiNardo and Aly Gueye. Henry Clay and Douglass have 3 common opponents (Bryan Station, Tates Creek, and GRC) the Blue Devils lost to all 3 and the Broncos defeated all 3.

The Broncos are coming off a loss to state power Boyle Co. 28-7. The game was not as close as the final score would indicate. This should be a good game for Douglass to work on some things they need to improve on to be able to advance deeper into the 6A playoffs. The winner of this game will take on the Dunbar at Madison Central winner on Nov. 10.

The game will be the NFHS Network. The kickoff per FCPS policy is at 6:30pm at "The Farm".

Not sure there is even a need for a thread on this game.  Wipeout!!!

Play the reserves, Douglass.

This is a just don’t get anyone hurt game for Douglass. 1st quarter RC in this one.

The problem is, this SHOULD be a "open your offensive playbook and let the players run new plays" game.

Yeah, you don't want anyone getting hurt, but the starting offense needs to get real reps running some of these plays IRL, because it's about to get serious REAL quick.
