  1. The easy litmus test is Trinity vs Ballard. If the Bruins win, that will let you know for real where Trinity is. Not that Ballard is bad, just that Ballard's varsity hasn't had much luck against the Rocks.
  2. Looks like a road trip to Louisville for Rocks/Dawgs for me then. I don't think Douglass will pick up a game for Friday. I don't think SW contacts them either, with them currently being favorites to meet at Kroger Field.
  3. I love the getting an opportunity part for John Curtis. And yes, you want them to play. But flying out to likely get beat, not so much that part. Not when it doesn't amount to much more than a glorified scrimmage, IMO in light of the circumstances.
  4. Voting Russell. Based off MoCo's past 3 seasons, and the current strength of its two wins. Mason Co and GRC aren't good wins in my eyes.
  5. If John Curtis hasn't played a game yet this season, why would this be beneficial for anyone? Male is four games in! The JC players flying to Kentucky to play their 1st game? Who exactly does this benefit? This won't be a good test for Male. John Curtis is likely not in game shape and risks injuries... Reschedule for next season and keep it moving. That's odd to me that people would say this game should still be played, knowing the conditions that led to its cancellation.
  6. I said this in an earlier post this season, the old football regime there drove a LOT of parents/athletes to GCHS with a "we'll show you" attitude... The Warhawks will likely beat them in the regular season this year. 7. Tradition never graduates. New staff or not. Plus, this happened with Beatty a few years ago, Trinity got beat bad by their out of state schedule, then proceeded to beat everybody in Kentucky except I think Male in the final 4 or something
  8. Seeing Southwestern as a playoff foe two years in a row, I definitely say they can storm all the way to the 5A Final Four. I expect a strong defensive showing by the Warriors.
  9. If Male wins similarly to the St. X game, by a small margin, there's no doubt in my mind Trinity defeats them in the playoffs. Trinity is always a different beast in the playoffs. I honestly think the Rocks create a different regular season gameplan for teams they likely will play again in the playoffs. If Male smashes the Shamrocks, then it's Bulldogs 6A title to lose...
